Ive noticed this version does a better job on keeping tabs on what youve read but im still getting the problem of some threads being viewed as unread , when ive just read them .....sometimes even when i was the last to post in it ...

to be precise, it happens if you just close your browser window instead of logging out .... the next time you hit the forum site, most of the threads will reappear as unread .....


its annoying the hell out of me ..... sorry

I dunno how the records of what youve viewed is logged , but maybe they should be updated to the users profile rather than the cookies?? (thats a complete guess on how it works btw , i dont actually know what im talking about)

I just think the tracking system needs to be looked at , take DNBA for example

re: the thread unread business, from what I've noticed, the thread will show up Unread if only a new reply has been added since you last looked at it........

Nah, i know what you mean but im talking about a different situation

Its does show up as read if i click out of it of a thread to the main index and leave the browser window open , but if i shut down firefox/interent explorer completely (having not logged out of FTB) then restart it and come to FTB again, it still shows the ones ive read as unread .....if that makes sense
