I'm trying to find the optimum bitrates for the streams that get broadcast so if you could all let me know what sort of internet connection you have (or most commonly use to listen to streams) then that would be great - thanks!

600 kbps ?!?!?

i thought it comes in 128, 512 and 1024 ? the one you had in the flat was 512kbps I think.

dude.. its technically impossible to have a speed of 600 bits per second.. or so i thought?

i maybe wrong but i thought all computer were units based upon the power of the number 2... ie

2
4
8
16
32
64
128
256
512
1024
2048
4096

and so on..

and there are 8 bits in a byte so that adds more to my confusion?!?

manik,

if you think about, the baud can technically be 600 kbps, remember it's the amount of bits per second, and seconds are measurments of time. so that data may not be fully transfered according to data convention, but 600,000 bits are being transfered in a second all the same, get me?

(PS - not being a dick AT ALL just shinhing light on the matter, don't think like yeah mate prick or whatever innit)

I have a 56k smart link dial-up.

It's as much use as a ashtray on a motorbike

Fuk knows where the smart come from?
