We've rarely had breaks guys down at Slide over the years, but we've got two biggies over the next couple of months for those that are interested and in the Oxford area. Hybrid in March and James Lavelle in April. For those that don't know us, we've just celebrated our 11th birthday and past guests have included Layo&Bushwacka, Groove Armada, Carl Cox, X-Press 2 and Tom Middleton. www.slideuk.com.

James Lavelle and Hybrid @ Slide 10 March!!!!

Big lineup for 1 night. Props for the write up Madz. :badteeth:

Gutted that both these fall on Blunted dates. Having said that I never really checked for Hybrid and James Lavelle didn't blow me away at Fabric.

Big up to Slide for getting these guys down :headbang:

Lavelle is majorly over-rated imo, his mixing is very poor.

Take wild horses to get me away from Dirty Diggers :hyper:

Last time I saw Lavelle he was incredibly disappointing - His early Mo' Wax releases were some of the best things he ever did [esp Headz] and unfortunately he hasn't come close since IMO

James Lavelle used to be at the forefront of new music, pushing new and interesting sounds and I for one didn't let the fact that his mixing was dreadful affect my view of him.

Unfortunately in my view his mixing is still woeful at best and he's not really playing anything innovative at all.

Admitedly I've not seen him play out for a while but quite a few of my mates have and they've all said he's not got any better.

He used to go to Burford school though, so fair play :D

Did he?!

Good old Burford, churning out the talent : Me, You, Sloth, Pointdexter, James Lavelle, Robbie Mustoe etc etc :badteeth:
