Calibre and S.T.Files join forces for the A side: ’Light Night Squeeze’ Sultry female whisperings, delicate jazz touches wrapped around a delicious low slung bass line. If Jill Scott made drum n bass it would probably sound like this. Groovy, uplifting and incredibly soulful. B Side: ‘Brit Flick’ finds Calibre going down a long dark tunnel. With its rolling mainframe and tense atmospherics. The addition of a rugged groaning underbelly and pumping subs completes this sounds system killer. Side C. ’Filter Tune’ has been blazing on dub plate for some time. The twisting vibrant arrangement with infectious funky percussion is classic Calibre. Side D: ‘Still’ Punchy beats, introduce swirling atmospherics and mysterious whispers. A tasty reese bassline soars perfectly with the pulsing backdrop. Sublime, warm and welcoming!
