maybe a little...

it's hip hop / breaks this year which is a damn shame... however if you ask Plus One nicely he might spin a bit for you...

Full line up to come however I can advise that headlining the Dance Stage will be......

Tony Vegas & Plus One [The Scratch Perverts]

Full Turbosound Rig Provided by Depthcharge!

Shabba at times has been a true genius, just seems at the mo that his voice sounds really strained. Maybe he needs a break or something ?

shabba a genius?! dont get me started i could slate him all day!

sorry to say, shabba personifies everything that is wrong in drum&bass

for a start shabba is a name reffering to a zulu warrior from africa, who were black.. what colour is shabba??

it angers me to see the man be so popular, it just goes to show that too many pikeys within the drum&bass fraternity are more interested in "gettin' mashup" than paying any attention to his degraditory lyrical content.

gimmie ic3 or fearless any day of the week.

sorry. just my two cents

im more than with u dave. i was gonna do an anti shabba post, cos he's such a fucking cock!!

Hes not a true junglist IMO. Jungle isnt about bling fucking bling, jungle isnt chatting about women like they're their soley their for his pleasure, we're there for the music u moron we're junglists on that dancefloor n he should recognise that!...He seems to chatt anyold shit that rhymes!

And he thinks EVERYONE is there to see him?!!! How arrogant can u get!!?

I dont wanna hear him calling for "all dem fit gals to come up dem front" when im dancing my arse off sweating not looking especially nice. It shouldnt be about that =Drumnbass is for the masses, dancing all niite with a good vibe. Its for everyone and anyone, and i love it cos i DONT have to dress up for it n i dont need some tosser shouting shit that just brings me down.

Own opinions completely, I don't like what he's been doing recently but some of his older sets I think are wicked. Can only be honest.

Misdemeanor

yea apparently he did used to be really good.

Too much success and er;...crack i guess.

MIKEE HUSSLA
6th June 2003, 10:46 AM
I suppose. I have a tape from OneNation Essential Festival 2002 I think where Shabba comes on for about 10 minutes on Hype's set and literally is amazing just for the pure energy he brings. Not able to do that at the minute. Maybe he'll sort himself out a bit though I dunno !

Anyway > http://www.jungleravers.com/forums/html/emoticons/offtopic.gif Slightly !

Back in the days, when Shabba was just breaking into the scene, he wern't bad....& I have heard him occassionally over the past years MC...'quite' well...but the man does far to much crack, he's so up his own arse & more concerned about how much attention he's getting on stage! D&B aint about that, MC's are there to complement the music, i'm not saying they should take a back seat, but just go out on stage & do there thing without ruining things for most of the ravers.

Take the MC Convention thing & that Knights of the Mic thing, what a load of crap....hello it's about the D&B, not how you can slag peeps of on the mic, big up yourself, chat complete codshite....

'Jesus Christ' thinks Bravo when he reads over these replies!
:D

I have to agree with some of that. Anyone remember Shabba D in the early days? I've got heavy Telepathy 1994 tapes with him hosting a hell of a lot more calmly than these days. DJ Funky Flirt...

Like so many MC's in the new era it's no longer "sounds of the DJ ~~~!" it's more like "sounds of the MC ~~~!"

Eh?

Lyrics of the MC ~~~, Sounds of the DJ ~~~. Actually... :D :P

If there was no DJ there would be no MC.

Realise!
 :D
