advice please

ive been thinking of sorting out a night for jungle addiction and guests and i was just wondering if you could give me some pointers like,
what places might be avaliable (clubs etc)?
would it cost alot of money to do?
the procedure on flyering ? (do you know anyone who is good at this)
and how too get people interested?

i can help with flyers, artwork and printing.. i can get you 5,000 full colour a6 flyers printed on both sides for less than £100

Somewhere out of Oxford is all I'd say as there's loads of nights in Oxford as you know.

If you're looking at mash ups and a venue that will fill easily, try Grove Old Mill Hall or something ! !

As I said, Old Mill Hall in Grove, they provide a crappy bar, you get someone to go on the door and colllect money for entry and then set up a system in the main and that's all you need.

Plus a little advertising around Grove, Wantage, Abingdon etc

Simliar to Hussla's suggestion, it's got bar, and a big hall, toilets, hallway. You could get a few hundred in there...it would be rammed, but im sure there would be a good atmosphere

We did one and it was a mash up ! !

If your brave enough to to it in Oxford at the moment then cool, go with Gemma's offer of the Zodiac. I'll be up for promoting for ya, specially if i'm playing! ;) :D
If not Oxford try a smaller venue outside of Oxford Centre, somewhere in Witney or Abingdon or summat.
Aslo if you don't wanna splash out on flyers stick to photocopy one's, but if there's the money, get proper one's!

Promoting is a tough ole game, but it's all good, I love it all the same though!

Keep us posted, just think long & hard before splashing out any money! :)

Yeah and the scene being saturated is precisely why I'm taking time out.

I'm waiting for everybody to get bored/kill each other off/run out of money before I return when the students do, or later if necessary.

But streaker seems to want to run a less commercial more 'crew' based event which would make a refreshing change.

I usually have sundays mate, and yes, I know thats ghey but it's that or a weeknight.

But it's a sweet venue, and nick makes it an easy event to organise :)
