like when im forced to go to the pub when im not a booze head, i dont like the atmos in them and i hat teh tunes they play.... best thing about pubs is teh pool table, boh!

each to their own, but when it comes down to it pubs are social places where people go to chat, drink, play pool, watch sport and meet people.

yeah most people say that, but it does linger...

and it's true that most pot heads dont like going out much, you get addicted to your creature comforts like tv, pc, munchies, big chairs

if i was to smoke up these days, it would be, like Gem said, in bed or at the end of the day... not from the minute i wake up

it's just so much easier to socialise when your not stoned or thinking of your next spliff the whole time :-/

to be honest with ya, I only argue in so strongly like this when people put their opinions accross as facts. it's one of my pet hates. at least you back up your opinions which i respect. i hate seeing something like "so and so is crap cos i dont like it" which is what origionally got me going on this one :-/, and gave me the need to stick up for pubs and everything they stand for! in doing so i blatantly went a little too far, but it's all in the name of intellectual debate :). keeps my mind cranking round in the afternoons!

Okay so watching sport in the pub or playing pool is no different to watching a film, or playing the playstation we're both chillin in a different way. Guess the only difference is ur somewhere public with a pint and im somewhere private with a joint. Its not really all that different (unless u never smoked weed!)

Obviously weed isnt for everyone. And its still a substance which can fuck your head. I admit there have been times in my life where i have done fuck all permanently. i'm a non-weed smoker myself, but i don't condone it in the slightest. my choice is not to smoke it on health reasons, no i'm not insane [well maybe i am] but i have quite bad athsma so i've never got into it [although i've heard it's good for athsma! hahahaha]

anyways...

i know people who have a real bad problem with it, i mean they live for the stuff and so they base their entire lives around it, not good.

i WILL say i think weed is better than alcohol becuase i've never ever heard of anyone getting really stoned and then deciding to start a fight outside my local kebab shop!

it certainly is different strokes for different folks, i too only drink to get drunk and/or give me a bit of dutch courage to MC or talk to people i don't know that well etc..

i would sooner session in the confines of my own home with the decks/studio/games machines than a pub. i really don't understand pub culture apart from the social aspect.. i mean i would never go into a pub on my own or anything...

i rinsed the pot thing too, since I was 14. i smoke a joint a year before my first cigarette !!

that last sentence was typed in a rush just as i left work and came out all wrong! it was, I believe, Frost's post that started me off origionally. Im sorry Frost mate but when I see something along the lines of "this sucks and that's that" I feel the need to challenge it

as for the rest of the subject, i just wanted to point out that pubs are pretty cool places to go to meet new people and make friends and socialise, and i obviously hit a few nerves with the "paranoia" comments, just as I thought i might. i never "told" anyone what to do, i just think the whole "i dont like pubs cos I prefer to stay at home and get stoned" thing needed a bit of explaining! i still dont really understand it despite all your best efforts.

i'm hardly a drinker, and I dont smoke pot any more (thank god), but both can be fun in moderation. as everyone seems to agree!

i dropped a gram on the ground at the tescos petrol station (in Bicester), drove all the way back to gem's and just before we got there, realised we lost it, and went back to the petrol station and it was still there!!!!, on the floor, like, 40 minutes after being dropped. :o

it was wet though, cos it was raining :(

two incidents of left / lost record bags...

first was someone i was goin out with about 8years ago. left his record bag in a doorway in town as we were waitin for the bus late one nite. Got off the bus, realised he/d left it behind and got a taxi straight back into town....guess what......record bag still there! :o

And then last year, my mate played in dj comp on a saturday afternoon in brum. Left his bag on the train. Needless to say didnt see that again. :(

Even worse i think was somoene who had their record bag stolen from the boot of their car having left it outside a mates house. Fucking theivin pikey bastards!!!!!!!!
