dub plates are soon to be a thing of the past
£30 a pop, they last about 25 plays and you have to piss off down your local dub house for an hour to get them cut
cd's cost about 20 pence each, never wear out and can be cut from the confines of your own home/studio.. plus the fact we had a cdj1000 which has a pitch similar to the sl anyways :)

So? most cd decks have a pitch control these days, it not an uncommon thing. but it was DYLAN ffs. im sure he can sort out his own dubs! besides ,thats the sort of thing yuo expect cheese head disco djs to be using

cheese head disco djs don't use these

cd decks are now considered to be important enough to be a contractual stipulation for a performing artist.
dubs are cool but they are expensive and slightly inferior these days.. although they may have a warmer sound from being analogue. cd's always convert the sound ino 0's and 1's but saying that the media people use to record the tracks in the studio would be cd/dat or minidisc which are all digital anyway!

ya had to go and show off didnt you! but at least you did it well. and no i dont expect they use them (but they might, you never know) i expect they get that £200 all in 1 doda i've seen in argos at some point
and although thats a fair point about them, and with technology progressing as it is, vinal may one day become extinct before us! and although i cant mix for___________* neither can most people out there and there would be no stopping the cheese when it gets more affordable. And also i would prefer decks, my opinion. which is why i said it in the first place.
i had a beter point than what i think your gonna get reading this but i think i inculeded all of it
i also think its DJ Raw who could add a comment to this. weahter im right or wrong, im not sure how i know but that hasnt stopped me before form mentioning it anyway. hint - the dam!
insert some insult here. i dont care what as i know im crap but know what tunes i wanna bang out and a quick flick of that slidey switch leaver thing will do

i hate all cd decks apart from the pioneers. the pioneers are the only ones which have a pitch identical to the 1210 so in a way it's the nearest way to playing on decks wihtout playing on decks. for all vinylphiles, final scratch might be worth looking into.. it's awesome..

ok, here's the deal... dylan prefers vinyl, he just happened to be playing some new shit that was so new he hadn't had time to cut it yet. including that mental metallica bootleg he dropped - he only made that earlier in the day.
personally i don't see why people r so scared of CDs. but if all u luddites want to stick to ur horse n cart technology, be my guest.

Hahaha!
And the debate goes on strong....
I just love the feel of Vinyl and Acetate... 10" or 12" CD's wouldn't have grooves cut into delicious black plastic...
It's almost a fetish! :D

i think ultimately the answer is final scratch, an ingenius hybrid of the analogue an digital age..

Yeah Vinyl Scratch will be the next big thing...it's hard to knock it really!
I'mn a Vinyl Junkie, so I'm biased, and think Vinyl is greta! :D May sound sad, and maybe more costly, but at the end of the day, you just can't beat Vinyl!!!!!
BTW Mattrick/Manikular did you record the night??

i reckon that vinyl is a wonderful medium. better than cd. however when it comes to dubs... they simply aren't cost effective !
