thoughts on a Back 2 Basics night in Oxford

what do you lot think of getting the Back 2 Basics Crew down to Meltdown with DJs:

JB aka DreadBass
Spice
Benny Blanco (hey remember me)
Viper + There Mcs

Any thoughts?

it could work... but oxford's a bit full with dnb nights at the moment so it might be worth hanging back...

I've had a couple of good demos from their own DJ Viper but would still choose Compounds Vyper...

Spice and JB are heavy producers and legends in their own right but I think they are not so well-known amongst everyday jungle ravers. I think they would pull punters down only if you included clearly the Back 2 Basics, Kool FM Midlands and Music First logos to draw peoplkes attention. Those names are more familar...

MC's Biggie and Accapello right? Not too sure...

Benny Blanco is just a pseudonym for another midlands artist right? I dunno! :D

it's a good line up, however it would only attract true drum&bass headz where people like shy fx/hype/swift et all may also attract people from a non-d&b scene becuase they are so well known... if you were to go with a line up like that i would sure wait untill the students are back about just to be sure

I agree with Dave, smokey.

Definately, thats a quality Line up, Back2 Basics is one of my fav Labels & any of the guys on aline up would get me there..but most headz in Oxford seem to only be intrested in seeing Shy FX, Bad Company, Twisted Individual etc..not saying your line up would be as good...but you gotta make sure it's the right time.. Like Mikee Merge said, with the right sponsers & promotion, I can't see why it wouldn't be a success!

Havn't heard there DJ Viper...i'm sure i'd bring the house down better! :D ;) :lol: Seriously though thats a wicked line up you got ther, if you get MC Biggie down as well...then it sure will be a quality nite! :)
