Is it fair

That because you are a mod or alike you can pin your events at the top but everyone elses have to go through the usual problems of going off screen ?

Just noticed this after a comment the other day. :huh:

I know but there's a hell of a lot of nights so you'd end up[ with X amount of events at the top ??

How about an event Forum ?? Just an idea !!

i think its fair enough to be able to pin topics. I was 1 of the first to Broadcast on FTB. Ceedee told me i can so if theres a problem contact him.

You boys are just gutted that these flyers arn't made of paper so u cant rip them down. I will pin my events at the top coz im getting pissed off with the Kinetic crew ripping down our flyers.

Okay this thread is getting a bit out of hand so I'll make it clear why I've done what I've done.

For a start I appreciate and am grateful to everyone on this forum for making it what it is today, a thriving bustling community of bassheads enjoying themselves.

Like several of you have said, if every event got stuck to the top of the forum, then yes it would be a nightmare and the forum would just look messy and cluttered. That's why I created the FTB Calendar. The FTB Calendar is an awesome tool for promoters out there who can be bothered to use it, because as well as showing what's when at the click of a button, it also lists your event on the front page of the forum for a whole week before the event is due. So it's going to get noticed if it's in the calendar.

A handful of people helped me back in the day when FTB was a tiny baby and these are the people whose events I am prepared to list at the top of the forum. I'm not going into details but I feel these people have helped me behind the scenes with FTB so deserve some recognition for that.

So just to make this all clear, if you have an event then PLEASE stick it in the calendar where everyone can see it as much as any other event, and if an event does pop up at the top of the forum, give it the respect it deserves.

WTF ? I'm just making a point which I thought could be openly discussed maturely on this local forum.

Not to get backlash at me who infact is a resident of Kinetic ie a "DJ" for Kinetic, I don't promote the fucking thing etc

I'm one of these people who is against all this sh*t which may be of suprise to you but I respect whatever anyone is doing in the scene but also I have the right to make valid points if I feel it necessary.

I'll agree in the obvious fact it was completely uncalled for. I presume the way to flypost is by going only over old flyers although sometimes maybe if someone has taken up a whole board which is maybe a just greedy, to take a little bit of the space.

thats cool i acept that if someone has taken the whole board that some will get covered that goes with out saying, we would do the same, i just think we would all benefit a lot more if we all stick together.
