Yes is abit of a dark place. kinda like coven but alot bigger. I've played there on two occasions for the Dmt nights. Its a trouble makers kinda place unfortunatly so keep your wallets tight.

I've only been to Lakota once and I thought the venue was ok, with a line up this good, I don't think it matters if the club is a bit Grimey. There was a good vibe there when I went, and I didn't have my wallet stolen or see any trouble.

I think it's a great venue - Okay so it's a bit grimey, but some of the best venues are/have been (sanctuary/que club/bagleys - though I never rated the latter other people seem to!) It's like an enormous multi-room coven, with a bigger dancefloor and no papiermachet hanging off the walls!

I've been to Lakota a couple of times, never had any trouble or seen any. (Just a lot of fucked people doing balloons lol ) Doesn't mean that it doesn't happen of course - but it's no worse than anywhere else I've been imo.

i saw Aquasky on Friday and apart from dropping some Benny Page mid set and a couple of very good breaks tunes it was a bit all a bit sound effects.

Would all be about the Upload room. Jacs may possibly be up for this if I'm not in India!

Lakota has put on some good nights over the years - last time I went was about 4/5 years ago and unfortunately there was some trouble there, an incident in which some girl got punched in the face by some brere - this was an isolated incident and the rest of the night went well.

I'm 100% sure that the Upload room will kill it.

I've been to lakota loads of times, Never seen any trouble at all and enjoyed the night everytime. Don't see why this night should be any different.

BIG night! D-bridge bringing the tight mixing on cd's & vinyl, impressive stuff. Silent witness & masheen smacked it. Syntax & Mantmast held the mic down well, bigup guys! Also shouts to the Upload dj's Vyper, Addict, Insidious, subkulture good mxing all round & heavy tunes!!! Was too bloody hot in there! Missed aquasky and joe peng but heard lots of good tunes in the upload room :D Main room was bit of a cheesefest so stayed in the loft for most of it! Needs some sort of seating and some sort of airvent in there though...or just get room 2 next time ;)

D bridge was good esp first half of his set, though I was glad when SW came on, probably my fave set of the night, masheen & all the upload djs played wicked! (All about sober sets from mark :smileJap: )

Shame it wasn't recorded really =(

The heat was pretty intense in there , it seemed the air con unit was broken.

Had a wicked night, I only made it into the main room once, very briefly. It was all about room 3 for me really! :BoomSmilie_anim:

Greencode kick started the night in fine form, was loving his set and the early ravers were aswell. Then it was my turn to take over...(I played a much better set then my drunken attempt at the last Upload...LOL :icon_redface:). At the turn of Midnight D Bridge took over from me, by then the crowd was filling up nicely & D Bridge played a fine selection of old & new bits. By this time MC Mantmast had just turned up, to join Syntax on the mic Next up was Silent Witness...and boy has he got some decent plates (Well CD's..), Same goes for Masheen who played some heavy techy rollers, he's got far too many sick tunes! Then it was time for more of the Upload crew, this time Subkulture, Insidious & Addict with a dash of Greencode (As he had a shorter set at the beginning) taking things Techy, Dark & Filthy till it was time to go.

Dazee was on the same time as me, so I was gutted to miss her, also I missed Aquasky & IC3 as they clashed with Silent Witness...grrr..nevermind, was a good night overall.


Big ups to everyone who made it down, we'll see you at the next installment of Upload! :carrot:
