Why are people on the London network that don't live in London. I don't get it

For a similar reason that people post on an Oxford forum when they don't live in Oxford..

I was only joking.
When your in a network it means you can view public profiles of people within said network. Therefore if you are looking for people you know, its makes it a bit easier.

i think it's just coz there isnt an oxford one so people just choose another one. Mike's from west midlands apparently!

Its because London is our closest locational network...those at Uni use their Uni's network i.e. those at Oxford Uni it says (Oxford) after their name...

When I joined I couldnt figure out to do another one, london was the only option..Although saying that I am thick LOL

Not yet, there're several pressure groups on there trying to lobby the creators of Facebook into making one

there's about 5 US oxford networks but no UK one...sucks.
Some people may live in oxford but be at uni in london as well.
