like it or not but spurs are going to be a force to be reckoned with next season. top 6 easily i would imagine.

defoe, bent, berbatov, keane = best strikeforce in the premiership imo. But I doubt he will. (fingers crossed)

The fact Bent turned down 80,000 a week to come to us for half that shows the man isnt about money. Which is nice in the football world. Although I think he may be overpriced he is proven in the premiership, and sticks by our current core of british players.

A left midfielder and a defender next please..... think we have another 30 million to spend :)

Waste of money imo, really good striker but he'll never get in the team in front of Keane and Berbatov and I can't see either of those being too happy in a rotation system.

We HAVE to buy some decent defensive cover and a decent left midfielder.

Kaboul is coming ;) French U21 captain and defender.

LM only needed

Bent will make a great partner for berbatov and Keane. Will be good back up for when berbatov is injured or reasted. Much more flexible than defoe. He will also push keane for his place. Good buy I think 13 million plus add ons maybe a bit dear, but we are a rich club at the moment. He is young plus there is all this extra tv money (50 mill to each club) floating around

Sky Sports news say we are in for Shaun Wright Phillips and Diarra

OH MY FUCKING DAYS!

I could see defoe going to chelsea if that happened... Diarra looks a great prospect as a defender, and SWP switching wings with Lennon would be amazing.


We made 15.5 million on the Carrick Deal, so we had that money floating around for bent ;)

I wanted rafa to bag wright phillips before last season but instead we got pennant :xmashammer:

No it wouldn't, I think you're getting carried away man.

I don't think SWP is any better than Malbranque

What we've missed is a left footer, someone who can give us decent delivery into the box.

SWP seems to really enjoy life at Chelsea so I'd be suprised if he left.

Malbranque isnt all that. Squad player at best. Can score but gives the ball away. His main position is centre attacking midfield but he doesnt play there.

With Keane SWP and Lennon interchanging behind berbatov = total football the old ajax way.

I'd prefer us to give Malbranque & Lennon free roles, I think they would be more effective.

Malbranque's link up play and knack for getting into the box would make up for the lack of Lennon's end product.

I wuold like to see us play with Huddlestone and Zokora in midfield, having Huddlestone in the holding role would allow Zokora to go chasing the ball more and wouldn't leave us so open at the back.

Should be an interesting season, having King back again is like having a new signing really. We missed him badly in the bigger games.
