Hi everyone :)

I've been thinking about what I'd like people visiting FTB to see first and I've got a bit of a dilemma.

What is obvious is that the forum is where everything goes on at the moment, and I'd like people that stumble across FTB to notice that it's a thriving community of happy-go-lucky bassheads having a good time, which is what we are, right?

So my plan is - for the time being anyway - let's make www.feelthebass.co.uk resolve straight to the forum. What do you all think? Would it be a good or a bad thing if the address went straight to the forum?

Then any enhancements that were made to the site would all be incorporated into the forum so you could have your own personalised features associated with your logins too if it was appropriate.

Let me know your thoughts on this please, cheers!

I think it should stay as it is, unless you want to promote the site as a D&B Forum site & not a D&B site with a thriving forum!

If you are to do anything, I think the front page should be worked on...update all the things in the index etc..really make the web surfer stay on the site, and discover the rest of the site, as well as the Forum!

That's true, but with there being no audio uploads going on anymore and no recent photo galleries or anything it's going a bit stale...

Thanks for the contribution everyone and for letting me know what your thoughts are re: this. I'm gonna make the changeover at 5pm tonight if there are more yes votes than no. Just so as you know! Won't affect access to the forum in any way, this URL will still work, but feelthebass.co.uk will also resolve here too.

True, but if the Audio & Photo Gallaries were updated, and continues to be updated, then it wouldn't be stale like it was!

Chris, the home page is ok, but only for all us regular users, to anyone else, it looks unappealing...it doesn't make you wanna stay on the site & check things out! It might do if your promoting the site purely as a forum site, but I didn't think that was the case!?

It only matters, if the web server thinks FTB is more than a DnB Forum! That's what I was saying...if peeps come on only to chat and have there say, then the site might be ok..I just think having the whole forum thing on the front page, is not gonna work well. It's just been made quicker for peeps to go on the forum, good for them peeps...but what about the rest of the surfers???

If the rest of the site was updated with the things it did have, but on a regular basis then peeps would wat to pay more attention to the rest of the site!
