Easy all

As you may or may not know Brookes Uni has a Drum and Bass society namely "The Bass Associates". As of 1st August I will be the treasurer for this society and running it jointly with my man Benny "Laughing Gas" Walsgrove!!! Last year we had just over 200 members, this year we are looking to increase this to at least 400 by really covering the uni with information and plugging the various nights round Oxford as well as harrassing all the previous years members and freshers until they give us their £3 and contact details!

We have been sactioned a budget for membership cards and are going to be designing them shortly, this would replace any need for e-mail guestlists, make people feel more like part of something and look really really cool!!

My proposition to the Drum and Bass promoters on here is as follows:

- We will send out an e-mail promoting your night to all of our members

- We will display details of your events on our facebook and myspace pages (addresses for which can be on the membership cards for maximum viewing)

- We will be holding a stand on freshers fair and I would like to put up photos of all the different DnB nights in Oxford on there and also I would like to have flyers for all the upcoming DnB nights

- We will put the logo of your promotion on our membership cards

- We will actively organise pre-party drinks to encourage more people to come if any of the committee are attending events

- We will give information about your nights to our contacts at Oxford Uni who are thinking about starting a similar society there....

In exchange for the above all we would request that if your event entry price is under £10 to have a £1 discount and if your event entry price is over £10 to receive a £2 discount to our members who show a Bass Associates membership card.

@ Ceedee I would also like to put an FTB logo on the membership cards so people can also check on here for other events / DnB info

If you are interested please let me know on here....

I will be contacting those interested soon to get logo's for the membership cards...

Safe

Alex

Big Up mate, ideal for the Oxford scene...as there is a big student base, that always needs covering.

I personally think this a decent idea, the BA crew really swell the numbers on an average H&R night - good way to entice newbies into the scene.

Students.

Awful, simply awful.

Let me know about that stand on Freshers fair, would be up for helping you out with a few free vinyl giveaways. Let me know if you think that'll help.
