I got warned about a year ago by the council. Apparently I put up the 3rd most posters in Oxford!
When I was postering a few months ago a policeman came up to me and did a name check. I asked him if i was allowed to put posters up and he said 'I think so, everyone else is doing it!' LOL.
It is a bit dodgy but I think if you just do it every now and then there is not too much of a problem. If they want us not to put up posters on public/council property then they need to create more legal boards to advertise on. Until they do this they can go fuck themselves. Every club night/business has a right to advertise otherwise they can't function. Unfortunately the best way to advertise club nights is posters.

Depending on which law your are busted under the fines can differ. The maximum fine would be £1,000 per poster.

Under the Anti-social behaviour Act 2003 a person caught in the act of flyposting can be issued with a £75 fixed penalty notice.
