How old is a tune before its 'old' ?

obviously certain tunes are timeless but sometimes I think that alot of people nowadays overlook alot of tunes for being too old.

money restrictions mean that sometimes i have to wait months before being able to buy new vynil but I try to live by the policy that if I like the tune, i will still buy it rather than saying nah, its been out too long...

that aside, you want your bag lookin fresh so how long do you keep your purchases before throwing them into the collection? a month? 2? 3?

I'm always including older tracks in my sets, Its always worth digging out 'older' tracks, how long its out really doesn't effect what I play out much. I do like to have some fresh tunes in the bag, but quite often enough an old tune dug out can sound as fresh and even fresher then the news ones.

My tunes are in year order anyways, so i'm always selecting tunes from the current year, as well as delving into the collection.
