An update lifted from D&B Arena on the latest with John B & Twisted!
************************************************** ***
The man with the penchant for the sickest tune titles in music has embroiled himself in yet another beef – this time Twisted has been on Bryan G's Movement Radio show with a message for a certain John B.

Evidently not having brought enough trouble to the table with Formation labelmates Distorted Minds over the 'T-10' saga, Twisted has now found himself in a war of beats (and words) with fellow Formation-mate John B (pictured). Admittedly the first round was brought by the Distorted duo getting a little too close to Twisted's sound for the man's liking – this time John B has been the man to kick off the fuss.

Last week, a tune with John B's name on it made its way around the internet and radio shows; 'Blandwagon Poos (CLICK HERE TO PLAY) ' is a direct bite and throwback to Twisted's style, and 'Bandwagon Blues' in particular – the very tune written to cuss Distorted Mind's 'T-10'. Not satisfied with merely emulating the music, John has sharked Twisted's spoken, 'T Minus 10…9…8…Ahh f**k it' jibe and revocaled it into a still more provocative line.

Not one to shirk a test Twisted responded immediately on last Thursday's Movement Radio show (weekly 9pm - 11pm GMT) citing John B's, 'big nose' and, 'need to sell more records' as explanations (CLICK HERE TO PLAY) . He promises a reply record isn't far off.

Who needs Nas and Jay Z?

Speaking to Formation about the record, they commented, 'Formation Records are taking this tune as a joke, people will always look to exploit whatever is popular at any time we're not looking to get tied up in a childish promotional war with anyone, the music will always do the talking'.

Innit!... Twisted seems a bit of a hippocrite ranting about John B, when he did the same thing John did, but with Distorted Minds...

Apparently so...!??

It's a funny tune, but it's also heavy & will rinse any dancefloor it's played on! :D

Mattrick how much for your copy??? ;)

Fair point and quite likely true in many ways...

But is it a fucking competition?!

Millions of junglists on millions of forums chatting about this subject and it's probably cracking both Lee and John and all the other mans up like fuck!

Well as much as I love all Formation related labels and rate their artists I still think SS is having the last laugh mate!...

What would he / they say if some non-connected artist or crew came with a 'Formation Gimmick Blues' or something, you know, cussing [in a jokey way] their stable...

A voice in the bridge...
"Whats with all these midlands mans bitching with each other over there shoddy styles?!"
"I dunno. Just some muppets trying to make some money!"

Etc etc...

Would be jokes...

Even though I don't always, it's kind of good to put your reasons innit I guess...
I can see why people don't like John B, especially some of his cheesy 1980's style Nu Skool Retro Jungle Drum 'n' Bass.
I'm still hassling Tricky to let me borrow DJ Chemical & Mattricks set from Expression 1! They dropped some wicked John B flavours that night... And along with Easty and Manikular that was quite an original and unusual set...

Tricky lets have it!

shove 'em both in a house with no hair products and see what happens.

Yes I remember this...
I ain't got time to go into the story but perhaps do a web search under GENERAL LEVY JUNGLE SCENE 1994 CONTROVERSY etc...
Basically, a man taking credit for something he played no real part in shaping to the national mainstream media [NME and music press etc etc]...

I admit, when I first heard 'Incredible' with my school bredrin DJ Blondee on the radio, stuck in a traffic jam trying to get into Glastonbury 1994, I was loving the track.

Fast for them days IMO...

Nice beats reminiscent to an Easygroove set [I later found out that was down to a producer from Renk Records known as M Beat, who had already released a series of anthems before producing this tune...]

It became VERY unfashionable to play that tune if you were an OJ.
I was young, I went along with that!

I don't think the John B - Twisted Bandwagon thing is quite the same...
This is far more friendly...

Mans like Five O and Moose were telling Telepathy massive "the perpetrators name is General Levy!"

Not happy bunnies! hahaha!

But you're right Hussla - there ain't been many occasions like this, not that I can think of at least!
