View Full Version : Interviewing Pendulum

Been offered an interview on the phone with Pendulum for tonight's HIT&RUN Radio.
Not massively keen but i think it would be a good look for the show as i'm sure a great deal of Pendulumstudentiknownothingaboutdrumandbass people would appreciate it.
Anybody got any interesting questions for them??? wanna stay away from the usual structure of interview style, something a little different.
Cue loads of stupid replys and Pendulum hating. :D

Why did you sell out, was it purely for the money?
Are we gonna here any decent tracks from you like Back To You, Spiral & Trail Of Sevens?

Question 1. Who the fuck are Pendulum?

Why do they insist on CD only sets when they can blatantly afford to press up proper dubs?
P.S. Might have to jump in on this one ;)

Which artists would the Pendulum camp most like to collaborate with in the scene???
Would Pendulum ever draft of into their own projects like Bad Company did,at any point???
Which Mc's would Pendulum like to work with in the future???
What was the best Live gig so far this year???
Can't really think of anything decent to ask them:eek:

there seems to be a current trend in dnb and urban music at the moment, crossing over with indie type songs, ie. marky vs snow patrol, goldie vs (can't actually remember, will fill that gap in a bit), dizzee vs arctic monkeys...if Pendulum were to follow this trend, who would they collaborate with? :stickslayer:

that is a good question, probably cause of the timescale involved i guess.

I wish you would fucking drop all of this. I had to repair alot of damage by you mouthing off on a forum in the first place, when it was being dealt with proffessionally behind the scenes.
Yes I was unhappy with what happened that night, yes it wasnt a good look for In Motion or the punters but we didnt have 2 fully working cdj's which was in the contract, so they were within their rights to walk. Whether it was the right thing to do or not is different question.
I am still related to that night, and have dealt with it, each time you bring it up, another agent may see it as before, and believe me you are not doing yourself any favours.
You seem to keep dragging up how they offended you, how you used to promote In Motion and do all this stuff and blah blah blah. But lets face it, you got me into trouble with a few of the agents, and still to this day are in debt from the Last In Motion, and owing money from before that. Your work load was shocking, and then you wonder why you lost money. You are not a promoter but a glory boy who wanted the glamour of being in such a position but wouldnt do anything about it. Infact you lost me double the money as I had to pay your share. Luckily I was able to deal with these guys, set the record straight and start again with a good hard working crew and we are pulling major numbers up here in Birmingham.
It may not be proffessional to post it here, but pm's are rarely answered, phone calls certainly arent. Fix u Tanz, stop trying to look the big man, and think about how your actions might affect people.
Rant over

Looking at the above, if you never brought any vinyl to the gig and the cdjs go down what option have you got.
On second thought, this is nothing to do with me.
On third thought, fuck it, I'll post the comment anyway.

Well when I spoke to you about a month and a half ago on AIM you said you would phone, and never did. In fact I spoke to Dave two weeks ago asking you to get in touch.
In terms of money, yes I may owe some money from the last In Motion but certainly not from the ones before that. I recall on a couple of occasions having to go to the cashpoint to draw either £100 or £200 out because it was short and nobody else had any money.
If you want to talk about it further, PM.

There should have been loads of questions you could have asked. And why was it so short? Apart form that, the rest of the show was all good. :biggrindaisy:

The tour manager was a complete cock, pretty much told me what i could ask them. Was only allowed four minutes with them, thats why it was so short. As for the Steak question, thats a little thing they have going at the station.
Big up everyone who listened in, had loads of good response regarding the mix i did last night. Once the refurbishment is finished all the recent shows will be up for download.

Their tour manager wanted them to be on the show because he wanted everyone to no that they are doing a live show and not a DJ set, but if its sold out i cant see why that matters anyway??

I'll be surprised if they didn't at least try. Those interviews are purely promotional based for the artist and labels benefit...it's the same with all major labels and radio stations.
(i'm not backing up Pendulum, just stating how it works :))
