Just goes to show you are blissfully ignorant of what is actually good within the confines of D&B. The main arena is especially bland.

Of course it does, it's London. You don't have to be a genius to work that out, London line ups are always going to be bigger and better than ones in a smaller city it's a thing called supply and demand.

I know, its just if u were to scale it down in comparison with an oxford event that one has a much more diverse line up. I'm thinking more kinetic than Hit n run & HQ. Kinetics are all the same pretty much, adam f or fresh, brockie or mampi, skiba or det etc...
why not vary it up a bit month to month?!?

Why not just go to other nights then you thick Cunt??
There's plenty of variety in Oxford, especially for a city of its size.

not a particularly interesting line up really
oxford consistently sees artists who are currently at their peak rather than whats suggested by an agency.......

Most of the banter on here is in jest, thats what i like about it. DNBA gets too serious sometimes.

Its all very well offering up criticism, but people are not gonna respect your opinions unless you have mutual respect for promoters and artists in Oxford who are working very hard to make sure that the scene is as rich and diverse as it is.
I can't think of anywhere in the UK that is the size of Oxford that has as much on offer in the way of d&b. Most places that size have 1 poor quality d&b night a month amongst house and cheese.
Criticism is not constructive when its worded in a disrespectful manner form someone who has not offered anything to the scene that he is cussing.
If you so impressed with the DNBA lineup, why dont you stick to posting on there instead of coming on to and Oxford based forum and slagging everyones hard work off.

Not really the Oxford scene that bugs me its some people on here who think there better than everyone else cause they like a particular type of drum and bass etc...
and thats it there right no matter what you say because they know it all because they look down on you for liking this sort of line up....
Great one...
Then to top all of that off you will see them on a weekend at Kinetic raving to Hazard and Eksman....
Some people on here need to get out of Oxford a little more or are they not true ravers and only go out in Oxford cause they dont have far to go ?

I dont understand why you're so adamant to get people going 'raving' out of oxford though.
Like Burley say's for a city of its size, I think the scene is pretty healthy.
I occasionally venture to london for ram and shogun nights but other than those cant afford to be going somehwere different every weekend. Im pretty content with what goes on around here for now....

I do respect the oxford dnb scene, haven't got a bad word to say about HQ or source. Hit 'n' run also, very good, consistently diverse line ups.
I'm talking more about Kinetics really, used to be a regular but got fed up with paying silly high prices to see a line up that is always similar. Had too many dissapointments in artists not showing and no replacements to fill in.
I'll hold my hands up and admit it was silly to say that the dnba all stars pisses all over an oxford event, goes without saying cos Londons scene is WAY bigger.
just really fed up with the kinetics this year, only 1 or 2 tempting line ups, artists i've seen more than once already at the coven always get booked.
Gonna make more of an effort next year to reach a HQ or 2 altho i have to say a lower door charge at the coven is exactly what we need now the academy is open.

The line ups havent been to my taste either, also think the door price has been WELL over the top. But it just the amount you rant on and on, fucking unecessary.
If people dont know your views by now, where the fuck have they been.

Fair enough, i just didn't realize it'd offend everyone so much.
To be fair tho, those forthcoming kinetics look like a step in the right direction which is exactly what i've been waiting for.
Also, will random Concept do a night at the Academy next year??? Would be BIG. One of the smaller nights they do obviously.

last time i went the bouncers were laughing at everyone for paying so much to get in, doesn't give Kinetic a good name when the punters get laughed at before they're even in.

No not really .... just sayin it comes across as people only go raving here in Oxford because you look at threads for raves outside Oxford and they either get slated or nothing said and they drop to the bottom.. thats all nothing long on that matter...
