View Full Version : Converting RM or WM into WAV

Most dowloadable mixes and archived sets I can find online are in RM or WM [Real Media or Windows Media] format...

To play these on old fashioned CD players they need to be converted into WAV files...

Anyone know any links to a free downloadable application for doing this?

A lot of demos expire after like ten convertions!

Surely there are a few good uns out there?!

Wavelab?
I'll have a look...

Soundforge - Extract audio from CD? It doesn't pick up RM files....

Streambox Ripper is what I found in the end [if any muthafucka gives a fuck!], and it works well. Obviously Real Audio is more compressed than MP3 and so the sound quality after decoding sounds a bit fuzzy!

i'm sure sforge will convert most file formats to wav.

or open as raw data.

For those that know... :)

Plus here is a cracked Streambox Ripper which supports Real Media Audio [apparently]...

Download: Right click, save target as...

Give it a try!

Google: Type "wav mp3 converter" and you get a nice program with loads of options for conversion.
