Fair play to him. Looks like some good decisions made. Initially I thought Beckham deserved to get his 100th cap. Pon reflection his dossing on a beach in Brazil possibly wasn't the best look.

Bently and Youngs inclusion is deffo a good look too. Oh and Agbonlahor :)

yeah very good selection.

i totally agree with not including beckham, he hasn't played since november, and even when he did play, he wasn't playing much. hes shit right out.
and with shaun wright-phillips being a don at the mo. no contest.

on a side note, players like David Beckham should be kept in English football, it does our players no favours by going to Europe or in his case, USA........I felt that Michael Owen should have stayed, and others probably, that is something that the FA should look at.

But what about all the other superior teams, the majority of which consist of foreign based players? England has a great majority who play in their own country and it hasn't done us much good.

What about when English players go to equally competitive leagues in say Spain/Italy - surely thats good?

truesay.................

of course there a great benefits to players when they play abroad in the top clubs, perhaps it is because generally it is our best english players who go abroad, big transfer deals, new way of life etc, I personally feel that somewhere along the line they lose that passion and pride of playing for they're international team...............

or it is just because our national team is a load of bollocks and our press try desperately to convince us otherwise.

nice selection. Beckham's exclusion is no surprise seeing as he hasnt played a competetive game since November. Nice to see Ashley Young in there, Wayne Bridge and SWP who have both been playing well recently, and Agbonlahor too.

Still not convinced by Nicky Shorey and not quite sure whether Owen deserves a place at the moment either.

My lineup from that squad would be:

James

Bridge
King
Ferdinand
Richards

Joe Cole
Gerrard
Barry
SWP

Rooney
Crouch
