Really enjoyed this...Krust played a pretty bait set but all other acts were up to scratch.

Ill Tech held the crowd pretty well, Rodney P wasn't as entertaining as I remember but Skitz dropped some BOMBS.

Fu & B-ill was LARGE complemented well by the Mant, Watching windows remix :) Look forward to the recording...!

Big ups all involved. :bigglasses:

Had a good night - was pretty wired tho - shame about that fight, hope that guy in the white t-shirt got kicked out for it...prick. Left pretty early coz had a busy weekend ahead. Maybe this is just me but I didn't rate that Marx very much - the only reason I remember how to spell his name is because he repeated himself like a broken record.

i thought he was good man i like his style, sick flow and good delivery, maybe you were too wired? lol

Mantmast

This was much more of a success than I'd imagined - for me it was all about Grande and Unia's selection, wish I'd got there sooner. I think it was Grande who dropped some Dudley Perkins bit amongst the gems which left me grinning. I thought Marxman had some interesting subject matter which made a refreshing change from the usual formulaic rhetoric spouted by 75% of other rappers - the reference to the sudden abundance of PCSO in the city certainly struck a chord.
Rodney P and Skitz were heavyweight, encouraging to hear P spitting fresh bars after all these years. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand throughout.
Krust was certainly eye-opening ha, but to be fair he played a better set than I expected him to, just a shame everything got cranked up and distorted, the guy must be stone-deaf!
Fu and B-ill produced the goods in self-assured manner, was clear as day that they'd spent a hell of a lotta time in the studio perfecting those 4 deck mixes - no body-tricks tho..? So many people off their faces on Mandy but I guess they're the ones who stay to the end so big up...
Overall a wicked night, good to see both Blunted fam and H&R clan in musical unison - bring on the next.

Yeah, maybe I was just too wired lol.

Ha I think you must've been - I was asking the engineer to turn the mic up in the monitors

Quality Night
Saw bits of grande+Unia nice selection from them!
Ill Technicians were pretty dope
Really enjoyed Rodney P+Skitz was fooking LIVE
Thought Krust was aiight, can really remember hearing many classic full cycle bits in his selection!!!would have been nice to hear.
B-Ill+Fu was by far set of the night for me,absolutely firing accompanied by Mantmast holding it down:) :) :) ,went to the front for a few minutes and realised how bloody loud it was,the noise was sort of draining out mant, and he look like he was trying to spit a bit louder, which wasn't a good look!!!

Big up's all involved,roll on next one:grouphug:

This was a stomper!! Props to all the Blunted/HnR heads that repped, made for a really good atmosphere. All about Unia/Grande tune selection, Marxman for holding the crowd on his tod, was apprehensive about Rodders and Skitz but they didn't dissappoint - got the crowd hyped and played some decent tunes. Gotta say wasn't feeling Krust - is he a typical HnR booking? Seemed a bit to hard/jump-up imo. Fu B2B B-ill - I echo Mantmasts sentiments - a lot of hardwork had gone into it and it paid off. Mantmast is one of the most solid heavy MCs - top work.

Upstairs is the nuts compared to downstairs. Totally different vibe.

Really looking forward to doing this again or maybe inviting Hit & Run to do a VS night with Blunted in Brighton.....:bigglasses:

Glad to hear it went well. The upstairs room is great, all in all - same as before but with a few significant improvements (2nd bar, larger chill-out area at the back, much improved sound and acoustics). We're up there for The Nextmen this Thursday (shameless).

Wicked night, busier than expected. Enjoyed Marxman's politics!! He well reminded me of one of the dude's from Bodger and Badger, very deep tone. I didn't get to see much Rodney P & Skitz although what i did hear seemed to be going down well, dropped some breakz or dubstep i seem to remember?? Krust was as i expected, went down ok with the grimey headz, although he drove mixer into serious distortion. Enjoyed my set with FU shame a fair amount of people had left by the time we got on, as always Mant held it down. The first 15 mins of our set was rehearsed the rest was off the cuff, listening back to the recording it seems we pulled it off quite well. Was also nice to put some more faces to FTB names.
