The next Subshock is a special one as I team up with the Sound Artillery artists. This crew are also behind Tech:nology nights, so they certainly know how to hold it down. For this one i've got a very special guest on the line up, all the way from Canada, none other then Gremlinz.
Also it'll be Smokey's birthday, so bring cake ;)
Gremlinz
http://www.breaksblog.biz/images/gremlinz.jpg
Hailing all the way from Toronto, Canada, Gabriel Au aka Gremlinz has been wowing us with his hard hitting D&B productions. for the past 4 years. Since then he has had releases out on 13 Music, Architecture, Audio Decay, Crisis, Cylon, Freak, Gamma Ray, Make Shift, Metalheadz, Mindrush, Obscene, Renegade Hardware, Sound Artillery, Vampire and Xtinction Agenda.
Over the past couple of years gabs more recognised tunes will no doubt be tracks like Goliath (Renegade Hardware) & Annexed (Renegade Hardware), not forgetting Breach (Architecture) which was one of his first tracks to come out.
Last year gabs, started a new Label called Audio Decay, which he released Aspect & his VIP mix of Its Yours, which is still smacking venues down to the ground.
He has some wicked forthcoming tracks to unleash, so keep your eyes peeled.
Solid Industry
http://www.soundartillery.com/images/artists/photo/11-solidindustry.jpg
Solidindustry has been djing since 2000. His first residency was at Dekefex at the Bug Bar in Brixton. At this time he also had a bi-weekly show on Ukrumble, which was his first experience of radio. Since then, he has played on Rude fm, Origin fm, Drum&Bass worldwide and Life Fm. Once Dekefex had finished he became resident at Brixton’s other big night, Rollercoaster. Repping the darker beats at a predominately upfront event. He also owns and is resident at Tech:nology. He has played at Def:inition, Autopsy, Darklight, Nakedbeatz and Tempo Tantrum in recent times
Nebulus
http://www.soundartillery.com/images/artists/photo/01-nebulus.jpg
Nebulus got properly into DnB way back in 94’. Once he got a job in the same building as section 5 (moving shadows HQ shop) it was all over. Soon after Nebulus Linked up with Data and started the long journey into production. For years they held down a 2 hour back to back show on www.LifeFM.co.uk. Here he met Contact & Killa B. After the tune making took shape. Gigs started to come in for the DJing. As the tunes production got better, it was realized that to be taken seriously the next phase was to start a label to act as place to spot light his and data’s tunes. This is when Sound Artillery was born. After years of planning it finally made its debut on the scene in a digital only format. Along the way he has made many friends and recruited some of the best up and coming talent on to the label. Now Sound Artillery has grown and has been picked up by none other than SRD to Distribute the physical and digital releases to a world wide audience. With the Debut 12” out now and the 2nd 12” out before the end of the year. Plus 8 digital EPs Sound Artillery has gone from strength to strength. During that time he linked up with Solidindustry (Tech:nology) and now the label is heavily affiliated with the night. Tech:nology provides a great arena to showcase the up and coming talents of Sound Artillery. Nebulus, always smacks up the dancefloor with a journey of moody rollers to outright darkside with a dancefloor vibe. In the last few years Nebulus has grown in stature, DJing across europe, from Sweden to as far away as Bulgaria.

Smokey has performed alongside some of the biggest names in the scene today such as: Andy C, Dom & Roland, D-Bridge, Moving Fusion, Dylan, Tech-Itch, Swan E, Dillinja, Utah Jazz, Pendulum, Mc Dynamite, Fat Man D and many more
Void
http://www.djvoid.co.uk/img/gallery/8/8_02.jpg
In 1996, DJ Void first experienced Drum & Bass whilst at University in Hull through the New Horizons events. Inspired and captivated by guest DJs such as the legendry Kemistry & Storm, Doc Scott and LTJ Bukem and hooked on Radio One's 'One In The Jungle' it was a natural progression to get decks and in 1998 to start mixing.
Starting out by playing house parties and University events he soon moved on and though persistent self promotion secured residencies at a number of small events in London and played at events such as Pure Science in Maidstone and the Best Of British at legendry rave venue, Bagley's.
Things progressed swiftly and self promotion paid off further leading to international gigs in Belgium and Orlando, USA and plays at events and venues such as Raindance, Cargo, Electrowerkz and The Big Chill Bar plus the Carling Weekend: Leeds and Reading Festivals 2004 playing slots between headline acts in the Dance tent followed with a 3 hour warm-up set at Rahzel and Mike Patton's sold out show at the Mean Fiddler (LA2), London. In July 2006 he was chosen as a finalist for the Rebirth Summer Gathering DJ competition.
Building on radio experience from slots on University radio and FlashFM.com, DJ Void featured for a year on London's leading Drum & Bass station, Rude FM 88.2 and was featured in the mix on BBC 1Xtra's Breaking New Talent slot in November 2005. Since April 2007 he has been producing fortnightly podcasts for Phuture Frequency radio, www.pfradio.com
Choosing to hone his DJ skills further and begin producing, DJ Void spent studio time with breaks producer XFile to produce his debut track 'Extinction' and spent the academic year 2004/2005 studying at the Vestax DJ Academy at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford where he won the Outstanding DJ of the Year award.
DJ Void has shown a unique diversity, able to mix the light and dark ends of the Drum & Bass spectrum and produce rolling sets utilising productions by both old skool producers such as Digital, Photek and Blame and the new breed such as Break, Silent Witness and Commix
