as far as i know mate, whoever you use, it's 20 quid for a 256, or 30 quid for 512, and you can change on bt broadband.
i just got it, free install, cheapish modem (well it would hae been 30 notes, but i got a wireless router). then you get a month free, and that's yer whack
some people do it cheaper if you get the lot, like a new phone line and that, but i only checked out the internet shite..
PS - AVIT!

with NTL cable modem the only difference between the different services, 128k, 512k, 1mb etc, is the upload speed. around 7k/sec upload with 128, 15k/sec with 512k, and 30k/sec with the 1mb connection
not really worth the extra $ imo :o

well i need fast download speeds.. my co-producer lives in hemel hempstead so we need to pass largeish files [sometimes up to 100meg] so each other.

your download speed won't change much, BUT if you're passing files to someone else, i.e uploading, the 1mb connection will be better.
:]
edit: up to 100meg should be no problem, i've sent 700meg to someone before on my 512k ntl cable...15k/sec all the way. with 1mb you'll get twice that
