also 2 other venues.. i would imagine the coven and park end have also been allowed to put a case forward.
with the 2am licencing of george street maybe this will inject some more soul into oxford clubland and also help towards the city councils dream of a 24 hour city in line with our continental friends...
any other thoughts?

Apparently there was something in the paper today about a Cowley road club being rejected of this because of local residents?

yeah.. i know it's gonna be hard to push this through... it's a shame... personally i think a 4am licence would reduce noise and trouble.. due to dispertion and tiredness etc.

Dunno. I think there should be some clubs that open until 4 but whichever one's do will have an unfair advantage over the others. The you could get a "well if they can why can't we" argument started.

it depends on where the clubs are geographically situated...... same as london... which is why HOME fucked up.. they had there licence reduced to 3am, and thus couldn't compete against the likes of fabric, ministry and turnmills etc.

dude... becuase the likes of yates etc stay open to 2, less people can be arsed to go to a club. thus putting clubs at jeopardy, unless the council give the clubs a later licence.
personally i think 6ams should be offered, this would
a: reduce noise
b: reduce crime
c: increase trade in oxford
win win situation me thinks.
