Ed I've told you that the Coven is a pile of crap. The whole system is falling to pieces. It's a shame you weren't there to experience the nightmare me Parslow etc had when someone hired it and we played there. Basically, it took me back to the days of "shit, is that mix in or not" because the set up is so poor. The genesis has a fairly poor set up, or did have. The Coven is just not even worth thinkning about.

BUT I have to add. If the Coven is the only place available then it's got to be there but try to get somewhere else. I'd like to see these pro dj's faces when they get on the decks. We got told "No mics and you can't play with the treble or bass etc."? What the fcuk. You need to be able to take bass out etc when doing even slightly technical mixes. arghhh. Sorry, hit a nerve. I'll stop now anyway.

i got no clue where you get the money for events you do but aint it worth getting just a bit more for a better venue?

Hussla: I went the coven today to sort a few things out and arrange a deal, I'm not going to invest all this money again and risk loosing it. I want a decent monthly night with good names and decent sound.
They will be cahnging both sets of decks and mixers, the system well that is a dodgy one (they do actually have a turbosound rig better than the Jam factory) but if I can get a new system then I will (any ideas??), there is no where else on a Sat night that is as feasable (money wise) as the coven i am sure as hell not paying 60/40 at TJF. There is going to be a hell of alot of work involved in doing this but I reckon between all of us it can be done, personally i am going to work my arse off to sort out the coven and make it sweet. To everyone else i have one thing to say if you really love your jungle then support us ain't nothing else good in oxford at the moment. Big up all my crew Shuffla, Pick N Mix hussla the rest you know who you are :ph34r:

It would be good to get to a point that if you were in Oxford at the weekend and you could say "I know there's a night at ???? every week and they're always wicked d 'n' b" or something like that.

It's always Thursdays and Wednesdays usually which is sometimes awkward.

Definately a good sign that Compound is next on a Friday! Will be Ram!

Generally we just need better bloody clubs in Oxford! It's all for shoes and shirts rather than just enjoying yourself and going for the music!

Ed was thinkking about hiring out Park End and turning it on a saturday into a complete opposite - Hip Hop & Breaks night. That would be phat but hard to get permission and to convince them it's worth it!! You'd have the usuals turning up, going in and running out scared by the heavyness of the tunes!!!
