(Mcs: Shuffla, Playa J (you tart), Bomb Squad, OAKZ, Jun Nash, MJ + Blaze it up Chris)

Big shout out to the main man Cormac, no one can smoke like he can.

Phil Blunt - What have you been up to? Adv. IT @ college! Bitch arse ho Doreen kicked me out but now I'm stuck back in front of a computer?! Strange that.

Mayhem Danger your challenging Shuffla? We had the set up last night and you never appeared round shuffla's after work? Me and Parslow on the mix and blend with Playa and Shuffla on the mic. The opportunity was there.

Shouts also to Rich Chambers and the rest of you lot in Wantage

Jungle Addiction (Abingdon)

All Oxford Crew inc. Dan DS, Liberty, Bravo + Merge.

Also, anyone know anything about when Scrambled Eggs - Roni Size comes out or the Bad Company - Shot Down on Safari album is released?

That's all.

See anyone who's going at Generator on Thursday.[B][SIZE=7][COLOR=red][GLOW]

Massive MASSIVE props to you Mike, glad to hear all is going well for you...

First, dunno about Scrambled Egg but the new BC album is due for release bloody soon, check drum n bass arena they got a little feature on it...

Secondly, dunno if you checked my profile or not but I'm now at Reading studying Music Tech, and in between I picked up an A-Level in Psychology, so sadly I've been in education all this time, but I've been carrying on with my mixing all that time so it's all good...

Also I'm working on a few productions of my own now and should have something decent on the horizon within aabout two or three months so keep your eyes peeled right here on feelthebass for news about all that.

Big up yourself and the Shuffla, and big up the Mayhem D too!
Hopefully will see you boys soon and Ed, if you put on an event I will for sure come and check it out, right after I've checked Compound!

Safe all, peace. (Big up Mike again!)

Just explaining myself to other bass invaders on this board,

This geeza mike I used to go to college with ages ago at Abingdon, he is a well safe geezer who is (so I've heard) a bit of a demon on the decks these days..
Crazy mate this feelthebass thing, Ceedee you nutter this is like a 'long lost freinds' board mate!!

MIKEE HUSSLA
13th November 2002, 03:47 PM
Yes Phil.

It's been a long time and it's news that you're still learning shit! Me on the other hand after my IT exit went for a year in Leaisure + Recreation?!?!? and then thought what am I doing here and went onto full time work.

I only managed to get some decks around 10 months ago and I've been mixing now for around 2 years or a bit more so I'm up to a good standard but as always, could be better.

Are you still a technics man yourself or have you been turned by the new decks on the scene?! I hadn't really used technics that much before so having choice of any decks I opted for some Vestax PDX 2000s which I think are fine but obviously both technics and Vestax have little things that you don't like about them.

Are you mixing out at all now? Shuffla I remember saying a while ago that you were getting more into the producing rather than mixing which has got to be the way to go.

I'm trying to get my name about and I'm sure it'll work eventually!

Do you remember that thing Mayhem put on at the Pen which you didn't turn up to?! His ideas have been better than that since!! Only one thing really has come to light though and that was something at Jericho tavern which was ok but still not anything big.

If you're up for a set sometime then I'm sure Shuffla will be too so give us a shout via this site and we'll organise something. Maybe Mayhem Danger can get his battle out of Shuffla!

Anyway, gotta get back to work!!!!!!

Speak to you soon mate.

Mike

All's good by the sounds of things.

Same as you OverKill / Frosty, want to get into learning more about music and production but now I'm in full time work and DJing and can't really afford to go back to part time really espiecially with trying to keep up to to date with all the tunes that are coming out!!

I'm from Abingdon same as Shuffla and Mayhem as you know which isn't the best place in the world! Haven't really ventured into Didcot that much, I know there's a skatepark there which is alright and a girl named Angelique!!

Gotta get on to work now so big up yourselves and espiecially ceedee who seems to put a hell of a lot of work into this site which pays off cos it's pretty damn good!!

Yeah mike mate big up once again,

It is true that I am now leaning more towards production rather than mixing, but having said that I still mix when I can or get the urge...

Technics or vestax? this list of all my gear will soon make it obvious what I prefer mate (be ready to cry)!:
2x pdx2000
1x pcv-175
1x kaoss pad
1x phat amp and 2x speakers
1x mouthwatering collection of tunes! (still not enough records though)

About the other crap - yeah mate would love to do a set if you are playing anywhere and likewise if I get involved with any local events I will contact you with offers too. Me and the overkill are trying to work out a broadcast on FEELTHEBASS itsself for our bass-invaders crew that you may have heard of.
Well, there will be a nice bass invaders pic at the bottom of this post anyways...

I consider it an honour everytime I play alongside the shuffla so blatantly I am up for anyting... Oh yeah finally mike, got a free house soon, will contact ya and you'll have to come down and blaze it man would be cool to see ya...

HAVE IT and be chilled mate...

Philblunt
14th November 2002, 03:21 PM
Oh forgot to mention the geezer overkill is safe as F*CK mate, known him since ever and he's a junglistic bwoy! The two of you will get on I recon...

MIKEE HUSSLA
14th November 2002, 03:56 PM
My line up at the minute:

2 x Vestax PDX 2000
1 x Vestax PCM 05A Scratch Mixer (Think that's the one!!)
Not bad sterio!
What's becomming quite a nice selection of tunes.

I know the Kaos pads are good but I want one of those Pioneer efeects modules, they have two discs on and are real easy to use and you get the effects like the one's from the Helter Skelter events when you whip out the bass etc. Dan DS has one I think and they're about £300. EFX 500 Effects Module is what it is.

Tell me when you get the free yard and a session is certainly in order I think!

Have you heard of a Mickey Finn remix of BodyMovin'? I bought it at the CD and record fair a few months back unopened and very white!! Sounds good.

Do you go to the CD and Record Fair? I got the World of Drum and Bass box set brand new basically for 20 quid and Adam F Colours album the same condition for £15. The bloke there said he had another 15 boxes of D 'n' B back in London and that was just from one stall!

I imagine it may be better for someone like me who's d n b collection doesn't span back many years (all of about a year and a half!)

You can tell I'm at work cos I'm just going on!!!

Only for anothe 10 minutes then I'm going home thank fcuk!!

Off to generator tonight with Shuffla (I presume he's still going! He's on the flyer!)

Speak to you soon mate.

Big up all.

Philblunt
14th November 2002, 05:57 PM
Mate I need to check this record fair out, I've been given shitty little flyers for it in the past but I'd always assumed it would be full of phucking beatles and rock shit... obviously not!

Mind you, mate if you want to get your hands on classics AVID is wicked anyways man, it's sorted by label in there..

While I'm on that subject big up to Juicy, the man who never fails to pick out the wicked tunes man. Safe Mike.

@ mike hussla

bigups man I think I've met you before - I used to hang out in Abingdon all the time with Shuffla and Mayhem but it's been a while since I've seen either of them. shuffla has been bigging you up to the didcot crew for a couple of years now, it's cool you are on feelthebass :D B)

I used to mix - sold my decks to shuffla last year, they are those shitty belt drives you might have seen them around. Now I just produce dnb.

By the way - do you know shufflas mobile number?? I used to have it but I got a new phone and lost it...you know the story...

safe man cya round B)

MIKEE HUSSLA

@ Bekit

Probably have at some point in the past.

I'm glad to hear that Shuffla's been bigging me up over in the Didcot massive. Ed mentioned the feel the bass site the other day an I thought I'd have a look. It's quite cool I mean I hadn't spoken to Phil for quite a while and it's good to see he still a heavy junglist!

Ed from my knowledge isn't mcing as much as he used to know, I presume he wants to get more into the promotions side which is all good. Shuffla's going stronger than ever though in Oxford at the minute which is cool.

With regargds to those shitty belt drives, I think they're still going strong around ali's place in Oxford! I've mixed on them and you can't do any dropping in of tunes or much technicl stuff with the decks but they seem fine surprisingly!

Hope you got shuffla and ed's numbers. I didn't put it on here for everyone because I don't think they'd be best pleased.

Take it easy mate

Hussla

So then. We now know who this marma is. As I should have guessed. The one and only Nick Lawrence who was last seen representing at the last DanNation on Sat 30th Nov. Nice set up courtesey of Ed Lew aka Mayhem Ranger. Pictures from the night are in the hands of the ones like Dan Fraser & Jonny Playa or should I say Playa J? It was a only a house party but as per usual, it was torn up by Method. Also saw the likes of Bravo pop over for a quick set, Mikee Merge rinsin it out and also Jungle Addiction who came along to put a bit of classic jungle into the ride. Can't remember too much myself but if you see any of the pictures you may notice a microphone in my hand! (Very worrying!)

Shout out to Paolo - you know who you are

Also Bass Invaders and the rest of the crews out there.

If there are anymore big house parties then I'll kepp peeps informed although putting a post on feel the bass about a house party could be asking for trouble in terms of amounts of people!!! Imagine having a road block house party! That would be excellent!!! One in One out!

Moving out parties - Loud tunes - No furniture to break! Perfect!

Not these neighboors!!! It's above the shops in Abingdon (Parson's Mead) if you know that place. The woman in the shop below always gets the old people coming in for their papers the next day asking who had the music on until 5 in the morning!!! She covers up and simply says she has no idea and couldn't hear the music!!! Although last time she did say it wasn't as loud as usual to us while chuckling to herself but I think she was trying to wind us up because because it was blatantly much louder than ever before!!
