Whos pissed off they missed the weekender?

Last weekend, 3 of the people i have meet during the course of my life went to the first ever drum and bass weekender. and when they got back, unsurprisinly they were ranting and raving of how phucking brilliant it was. and this made me more pisseed off that i missed this wicked sounding event. i listened in to the grovrider (and fabio but hes not worth mentioning as a main player) show that came from there and it was phater than your momma and actually beign ther would have be fan-bloody-tastic. but never mind. anyhoo, ibetter get to the point of this post (other than to have actually written a post) which is to see how many other people missed out and what was your feable excuse. mine was the lack of money so that one has already been taken. come up with your own if you can. the more bizzare and unrealistic the better and you get 17 bonus points for mentioning the word penguin after every 3, 5, or 7 lettered word. The prize for the best excuse - a slap.

Ben I am in agreement with you about wanting to be there - listen to my excuse it is pathetic.

I had about 500 quid a few weeks ago but nobody mentioned the event during that time, hence I didn't buy a ticket. Soon as my money was gone people started talking about it again! How harsh is that?!?! :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

Shame on those that missed it!...I wasn't gonna miss this...no way!!!! :D

It was the phattest weekender i've been to! Every DJ was wicked, although Brockie got a bit boring.. :o

Bonus part of the weekend was being able to go in out of the venue when you wanted...so going back to the chalet for a chill was definatly in order! :P

Andy C's set did rock it for me, he played some phat as phuck Dubs, ok there was a bit too many rewinds...but the tunes were worth rewinding to be fair!

Shabba was just outstanding, he's one MC who know when to shut up, he knows when the tunes break...so can just roll his lyrics out. Another MC who I thought was good was MC CD (Not ftb Founder Ceedee!..), but a new guy on the innovation list, watch out for this guy!

Philblunt, your definately right..the next one in May, next year, should not be missed!!!!

Right now first big up to all those who made it down to the first one, heavy night boys phattest birthday I ever had (almost)...

Calling all those who never made it down - YOU MUST GO TO THE NEXT ONE IN MAY!!!!!!!! Think about it, if you go out to, for example BassHeads @ The Matrix, you looking at £50 for the night including train, entry, drinks, fags, whatever, plus you have to wait ages for a train (if ya going to didcot) and most of all the running time of the event is gonna be about 6 hours.

With the weekender, you're looking at £100 for 3 DAYS including ACCOMODATION and the chance to see loads of DJs and have a right laugh.

For those who were wondering, the accomodation is more than decent enough and smoking out your room is not gonna cause a problem. The site is wicked you can buy everything you want from the shops they got and one shop is open till like 4AM so you're gonna be sorted.

GET DOWN THERE www.ukweekenders.co.uk and make sure that you post on FTB to let us know you're going so we can all meet up and have it!

Yea andy c played for 2hours.......but how many phucking rewinds...purrrrrrlease!!!!!!! I was only dancing for about 45seconds at a time!!!!!! Yea the tunes were heavy but im there to dance n all!!!! :rolleyes:

When you fill in those forms, try not to be too sarcastic and stuff. Also dont use a red pen. they'll proberbly sulk about that as wellthey alwasy seam to find the most petty things to get round having to do anything or give people money for free. the goverment. Assholes :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:
