I was in the Happy Hardcore bit quite a lot at Raindance. Mainly because the atmoshere was so good in there !! No moody vibes like some areas of the DnB bit for example !!

Not forgetting the obligatory high-viz council worker type jacket with a load of bollocks written all over it, white gloves and babies dummies. Oh yes, bring the danger.

i used to like the breakbeaty stuff in 1994/5 but i think it started to go a bit crap when hixxy and sharkey wrote toy town. all the "4-beat" stuff was just a bit too formulaic and cheesy, especially with the bad use of 80's ballads as breakdowns [damn force and styles]

but i must say... it was so all about "cheddar 2"

Same as, It was quality when it was the breakbeat, Then the BIG DIVIDE came along. You either stuck with the breakbeat and followed the path to jungle. Or you went the other way, FOUR BEAT CHEDDAR Road.

So glad i choose the right path.

Just been sat here for ages trying to remember what that "toy town" sounded like. Oh yeh, COMPLETE CHEEEEESE.

Happy hardcore from the good era then. Then stomp came in and took away the sub base it all went soggy like a crap in a nappy.

Look for any tunes on asylum records. Early remix records and RSR. Plus you've got kniteforce and the rest.

I had loads. Sold em years ago when I moved house :(

You look like you're in another world and I can read your mind, It's four o clock in the morning and its starting to get light.

Wicked tune. Ooh, let me think, yep had that track on Micky Finn, Universe "big love" 1993.

Now where's that tape gone?

I'm gonna dig all my hardcore out big tyme. I must find my copy of Life Force Generator, and the rave theme, and that doctor who track. heehee.

For those who care - I was well into World Of Obsession, early Quosh (teknostorm - gon on HAVE IT!), RSR etc

Anybody heard of DHSS colours series - damn hard.
Also manik man I dont think toytown was bad musically, it may be a bit of a cheesetastic melody but it was damn hilariuos. when I listen to hardcore I like to laugh - heeheee. safe all
