Big thanks to everyone who has supported :stimulus: over the course of 2008. Our first event for 2009 features not one, not two, not three but four!! headliners...
Derby’s SIMON BASSLINE SMITH who has made serious waves in the drum and bass scene over the years largely due to his mighty track record on the production front with long time collaborators Drumsound. With a list of original tracks and remixes as long as your arm spanning across all the big labels such as Ganja, Full Cycle, V, Bingo, Good Looking, Grid, CIA, Prototype, Creative Source, D-Style, Urban Takeover, Formation, Breakbeat Kaos, Trouble on Vinyl, Renegade Hardware and of course his own Technique Recordings imprint the creator of modern classics such as “The Odyssey”, “Crossfire Danger” “Cold Turkey”, Cape Fear”, “Harder”, “Killa DJ”, “Stigmata”, & “Tinman” will be coming to back to Leamington grace our first event of the year.
Joining him on the line up is Ganja Record’s & Propaganda’s own TAXMAN who has been responsible for some of the biggest, dirtiest tunes on road over the past few years. Famed for turning his hand to dance floor bangers such as Too Bad VIP, Original Ninja, The Rebate & Moonraker as well as huge co labs along the way with Generation Dub & Heist the Leicester based hot property will be making a return to Leamington for an event not to be missed at any cost…
Making their debut in 2003 on Tangent, Commix began their journey on highly respected and diverse labels such as Hospital, Good Looking and 31 Records, quickly proving their worth as innovative and diverse producers. Now with an album deal (and indeed the label’s first artist album) on one of drum & bass’ most legendary labels, Metalheadz; they are set to reside amongst the true greats of the scene. With tracks like Talk To Frank, Faceless, Rack-It and Be True smashing up clubs all over the shop, Commix are hot property in drum & bass right now.
BARON has been a real name to watch out for over the years with his productions gracing Breakbeat Kaos, Ram, Virus, Trouble On Vinyl, CIA, Grid, Viper and his own Baron Inc imprint. Another new face to :stimulus: for 09 and one who is guaranteed to rock the floor.
As always we continue our new partnership with WHERE’S THE JUNGLE? clothing who have kindly offered to provide sponsorship for :stimulus: Watch out for giveaways on the night as well as future competitions as we celebrate another step forward in the evolution of Leamington Spa’s home of cutting edge drum & bass.
