His initials are TB and when he heard of the legendary Ceedee he could not help but become Teebee.

I think so, He's got to be as well known as the rest of the line-ups from this year so far.

I'd love it :funk:

yeah he's from Norway. and he's done loads of stuff for various labels including moving shadow and audio couture. Very heavy. Seriously dark. and deep. well some of the stuff i've got of his is anyway. the more recent stuff is a bit more mellow. but still pretty heavy by his standards.

would definitely be interesting to hear him play...

one more thing regarding hq. you have one of the only alternative music venues in the oxford city centre area i.e. within reasonable walking distance from carfax. plus you are putting on a night at the weekend. so keep taking those risks and we can all watch and smile as they become more and more successful!

well that is what we hope :)

the main ethos of the night is to push new names and different angles of the d&b spectrum.. be it the choppy stuff, deep stuff, liquid, latin, electro and rollers. there is much more to d&b than identikit lfo bass and weak 2 step unedited breaks, not that i condone it... we just wanna have a night where we don't have to travel all the way to the likes of london or bristol to hear the tunes we like haha :funk:

nice one bredbin.

yes. teebee has been in my top 3 producers for years. he's done the best set i've experienced in the last 12 months. for this reason i found it hard to believe when someone told me that people round here hadn't heard of him, cos to me, he's a fucking legend.

i'd like to hear him at HQ, not sure that the name would attract as much interest from your basic 'oxford punter' as it does us though.

Listen to the tune 'Liquid Light' he gave Prototype a couple of years ago.

That's the Teebee track which sticks in my mind.

Deep.

TB is the fuckin lick. I was heeeeavily into his tracks. Got his album and caned it for about a year after it was out. There's one badass track with a darrrrrrk sample on it from Event Horizon.

I would definatley be rocking some full on facial hair is TB was in town.

One interesting thing is that although he's from Norway he speaks like a London cabby. Bizzarre!

Bring the danger!

Okay the truth of the matter is that TeeBee was a Chow Gar kung-fu artist up to blackbelt international standard. He did NOT win the medal at the olympics that I heard about (and then told people about, sorry!). Who remembers the TeeBee interview on radio 1 (grooverider) last year? that's how we know the truth.

As for what do you know and what do you recon...
This old boy is a true don mate. Nobody can sit there and tell me that his shit is not produced really well, cos it damn well is. I'm well into every track on the through the eyes of a scorpion LP alough 'shattered dreams' is prolly the best. Who remembers the Trance n Bass giveaway on Mixmag last year? That's on there.

Teebee is a fav of mine, only moan of got is what the fuck was he thinking when he made 'turnteebeelized'? shit tune.

anyways. peace all.

TeeBee, yeh he's good at production and DJing imo.

My favourite album of his has to be "Through the eyes of a Scorpion".

Fabio had him as a guest on the radio 1 DnB show a couple of years back. He played a 30 or so minute set and it was quality.

Also Fabio said " Teebee, The man from Norway that speaks better English than you and I".

The range of Styles and DJ's that have landed upon HQ have been Quality and TeeBee would suit HQ's criteria no problem.

If you happen to land TeeBee, What a treat. I'm there, I aint heard him live yet.
