may be looking at moving out if there's a good option around. i can use websites as well but how have others approached the whole music thing? i mean I will play my music quite loud on occasions but not really after 10pm etc... also would need a pretty sizeable room to rent for all my equipment!

do what i did and just dont tell them about the decks etc until you have signed the contract. mwah ha ha!
if this had been a month ago i would have offered you a room in my yard - rooms are huuuuge and no-one minds about the tunes. as it stands, i am no use to you

you can set up a profile on spareroom.co.uk and let other people approach you - say you want to live with other 'like minded people' :)

i live on abingdon road and the prices of the rooms all vary cos they are all different sizes. i moved rooms in the house recently to save cash but my old one was absolutely massive (dbl bed, 2 shelving units, wardrobe, huge 'corner' desk, armchair and shit loads of floor space) and that was £480/month inclusive of everything. was a good deal

sounds like a dream
an extra £100 is worth paying for me if I can then get all my music equipment in and have a decent location. can then walk or ride to & from work which would be ideal.
@jacqui, i'll have a look at that, i'm more just enquiring to see if anyone has anything now but i still may leave it until after xmas so i can pay a bit more fo loans and stuff first so i'm completely stable before moving out but cheers for the info

just try to get somewhere detached or semi with a room on the non-attached side, purely so you dont fuck the neighbours off coz theyl be your biggest issue. For some reason they dont like 5am drunk mixes, amp full blast.

I wouldn't mix after 10pm really so I wouldn't be a bad neighbour....

my neighbour is the biggest cunt in the entire world, and the only downside of my house. she is some bitter old spinster (also a professor of feminism :ohboy: ) and complains about the most ridiculous stuff - watching tv with the window open, my housemate having a conversation in the street - she even came round to complain about the music once and we weren't even playing any!! im thinking about reporting her for harrasment

this witney love isn't helping
eg. i spent £40 on an all round trip from abingdon in taxi to go to the bully saturday (and not get in as too late)
if i lived in oxford it'd far easier & cheaper!
