Yup... What kind of place are you looking for mate. I can help you choose somewhere reasonable. If you're after a simple cheese up then Gatecrasher is an obvious choice. 4 rooms 2,500 people and it looks the bollocks. Cost 5 million.

Just a few bars and a club not too far walking distance from the centre really. Open to suggestions as i've never done a night out in Brum.

Don't really fancy wearing shoe's/trousers tbh, places that except smart jeans/trainers would be ideal, but not something along the lines of Strattons obviously lol...

Need to book a hotel for the night aswell, got any suggestions? Just need a twin room, The Britania looks the best for price/location..

What is your budget for a hotel?
What sort of music are you after?

The best place for bars is the Arcadian. Broad Street is very similar to george Street in Oxford e.g. full of idiots but there are some nice bars around there or Brindleyplace which is just off it.

I usually go out in Digbeth which is kinda the 'cool' part of town if all the big dance venues and the Rainbow pub which is wicked (and you can wear whatever you like)

About 50/60 quid for a twin really, just somewhere to get are heads down for abit so not really overly fussed what it's like.

Seen that Annie Mac is doing a night at the Rainbow Warehouse http://www.dontstayin.com/uk/birmingham/the-rainbow-warehouse/2009/nov/07/event-222327

Could be waste but im not too fussed, is that part of the Custard Factory complex? Is that far from the town centre?

Wouldn't mind hitting a slick bar or two in that area if we go to that.

Custard Factory is about a mile from the city centre.. about the same distance as cowley road is from the city centre in oxford. Rainbow warehouse is a great venue, it's basically an old warehouse! you'll like it :)

Well i'd go for something like Fink has suggested, but it black making it more friendly for future use with different outfits. Black shoes with nice dark denim jeans is quite a swanky look. Personally i've got a couple of pairs of Loakes which are lovely if ever i need to do something like this, I always try to get away with trainers though! Maybe go for a nice jacket too coz the just shirt and jeans look can make people look like a out of work bar man i find :P

Also, for extra gay points, your belt should always match the colour of your shoes!!

sometimes i really can't understand why someone clearly as mentally retarded as yourself is allowed near electrical equipment. I made a thread asking what shoes people could suggest - how is that going on like a woman?

You clearly are a Women. Buy some shoes and shut the fuck up.

If you need to ask a forum for advice on shoes then you are a retard.

What you gonna ask for advice on next what clothes to wear you silly fucking cunt.

"a women" - wow you're really showing your intelligence today Thimon, I applaud you and the educational system that spawned you.

And sorry, I don't quite understand what's wrong with asking for advice on buying a type of shoe I would never normally wear? Have you ever asked for advice before Simon? Perhaps you should...

Try this site Roguey. Let me know how you get on.

Has any fellow sufferer out there got the faintest idea what we are supposed to wear for smart occasions? I live in Ecco boots and nasty velcro-style wrap-overs, but you can hardly wear those with a smart outfit. I have three weddings to attend over the next year and haven't a clue what to wear on my feet. I can't wear high heels, and I can't wear flipflop type shoes because the thong is nowhere near the corresponding toe. Maybe I could start a fashion for wedding wellies... It's made worse by the fact that only one foot has a bunion, so I sometimes end up having to buy two pairs of shoes in two different sizes, and yes, I have checked the odd-sized-feet websites but can't come up with anything. Any ideas? There must be thousands of us!

I got pair similar to these well over a year ago and i really like them. Still intact as well, wearing them to work now.

I quite like K Swiss, they're all a bit samey though.

Diesel shoes are prob my fav, plenty of styles that work as trainers or shoes. Just seen a nice pair of prada shoes when doing a google image search for 'trainer shoes'.
