I'm not massively confident, I think Defoe is going to smack it tho. Just a hunch.

Compared to Spain and Brazil...

We may as well not bother going.

Argentina's strike force is also mental. Tevez, Messi and Higuain and we could end up with Heskey, Crouch and Defoe if Rooney ends up injured.

Our midfield is killer tho!

Our midfield is killer tho!

Compared to Spain's no way.

Gerrard is yet to prove he can do it for England and is in poor form. Let's hope that's just because he has fallen out of love with Rafa.

just hoping for some quality football from all teams.

will messi truly show hes the best? will ronaldo step it up with his two bit team? will torres be fit, and will spain go all the way? then the usual suspects how will they hold up.

should be a good tournament, just hope that only a few people get mugged. :teef:

ps joe hart for no 1 goalie

Think man to man, our squad isn't a million miles away from the spains, argentina etc., it just all depends on, as always with england in recent years, our cohesion and mental attitude... we always tend to get too easily frustrated when we're not playing at the level we want to and when our heads drop we fail to pick ourselves up easily... however, i definately think capello is the man to restore this cohesion and passion into match winning performances!

As for the squad, i'm pleased some of these uncapped young players have made it into the 30 man squad... johnson especially, he's been putting in some really solid performances for city recently! however, i'm pretty sure that these players will be sacrificed come the 23-man selection!

I'm sure Rooney will do well this year, however, i predict that the supprise performances will come from from elsewhere in the squad! I honestly think crouch is gonna be a devastating inclusion in the squad AS LONG as we dont use the same old long ball tactic ive seen spurs use on a few occasions. I'm sure Capello is wise to this tho. Walcotts gonna b a supersub too, too much pace.

+ Goalkeepers and Forwards.

The defence is the weakest point but is probably still better than Englands.

True, but we have 1 great striker and 3 or 4 average ones. At least they have two world class strikers to choose from.

Pedro has had a great season so he could shine.

Never underestimate Guiza though, scored goals everywhere he's been.

Exactly ^

Apart from Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and A. Cole our squad really isn't that good.

Terry is good but is a complete cunt and i hope he gets a broken leg in the FA cup final. I find it hard supporting a team with him in.

R. Ferdinand is world class but i feel his best days are behind him. He seems to have a back injury that will only get worse. IMO of course. Ledley King has played more than him this season.

Ledley King is class but a crock.

Carragher is a great player to have in the squad but he struggles for pace these days. Still better than Upson/Dawson.

Carrick - Dreadfully out of form.

Bent - Not international quality imo.
