Guns And Rap
Tue 9 Dec, 11:20 pm - 12:00 am 40mins
An investigation into teenagers' fascination with firearms. The young gun generation talk frankly about the pros and cons of sub machine guns over automatic pistols. Part of the Guns And Gangs season.

Dunno bout you but this interests me. I hate the way US Hip Hop culture has infected our rave scene over the last 10 years, especially in the Garage and Jungle corners...
All these kids going on like they are bad, like it's fashionable - as opposed to committing crimes, simply because it's the only way to survive in difficult living circumstances...
There is a difference!
I've experienced life in the developing world. Scary shit to live in, trust.
There, guns are legal yet the youth are not impressed. They want a nation like we got. Where its safe to walk!
I love Hip Hop culture since way back but the attitudes are unhealthy in todays society.
I work with youngsters hoping to break into the industry, and at the age of, like, 10 or 11 they are giving themselves and their crews names which have violent origins...
Slim Shady, as others, says they don't expect people to take their lyrics quite so literally.
Kids do take things literally though you fraggle.
