First 2 episodes were a bit slow, the third was brilliant imo. The rape scene was a bit much but it was powerful and I suppose in some cases an eye opener.
Thoughts?

Yeah, its ok
Pretty bland in places, can't quite see how it's all going to be wrapped up in the last episode, should of moved a bit quicker IMO

Shane Meadows doesn't really go for the big hollywood endings, so i'd expect a very down to earth finale. Is the last episode just an hour?

pretty good. just an extension of the film really.
That rape scene was actually something else tho.
Quite strange how you normally get complete morons complaining to the tv networks over something mildly agressive on eastenders which I would find completely inoffensive, yet I have heard no complaints about that pretty awful rape scene which I even found quite hard to stomach

I quite like the programme, but almost couldn't bear to watch the rape scene, it was horrible. Aside from that, the latest episode was definitely the best

Actually it was largely light humoured especially the first two episodes. That made the darker bits have that much more impact.

That last episode was amazing. Stephen Graham is becoming one of my favourite actors.
The rape/hammer scene was brilliantly acted, especially the dialogue in the build up. Great TV imo.
