Renegade Hardware returns with The Last of a Dying Breed. An album that puts a stake in the ground marking a transitional period for drum and bass at the end of the first decade of the millennium.

Sonically one of the most diverse and exciting album projects the label has compiled, the release demonstrates without question why Renegade Hardware has remained as one of the most pioneering drum & bass labels for over 15 years. In total, the project features 13 new tracks from established names such as Raiden, Ink, Loxy, Vicious Circle, Optiv & Phobia combined with the new skool leaders such as Rockwell, S.P.Y, BTK & Meth, Octane & DLR and many more.

The 2xCD format features 3 exclusive tracks as well a 20 track bonus mix CD from Raiden featuring all the album cuts, back catalogue classics and an exclusive version of his classic track - Fallin’.

It's a strong LP, my first D&B album purchase of the year.

The only disappointment is "Shards". It would have been better for them to have picked up a Rockwell tune more like "Noir" which fits with the Hardware sound.

It would have been better for them to have picked up a Rockwell tune more like "Noir" which fits with the Hardware sound.
