Anyway, I don't think the fact that audio and mackie are well known enuf to get a student crowd along to a nite. Its Oxford and its a struggle to get a big'ish crowd to anyone less known than the likes of Nicky B and Hype. Student or not.

I do agree Jibba, but I still agree with Frosty. Peeps Like D Kay, Aidio & Mackie, Nexxi, Resonant Evil etc..would be wicked in Oxford. It's gonna be a gambele, but I think if there was a more well known name on the line up, it'll work..& peeps who don't know will get to know! :) If ya know what I mean.

HQ, Rebel Faction, Kinetic & Occasionally Source all have took the chance with didffierent names, and they've been quality nights, despite some times low turn outs in crowd...but it's a start! The nights have been quality, so it does go to show, that it doesn't take a DJ Hype or whoever to make a night! ;)

Agreed and agreed guys. Personally I don't really go for the nites with the big names unless I rate those big names.

I've had some of my best nites out in Oxford when the lesser names and local boys are playing eg Friction and Rumpshaker etc

Wot I'm saying is that the fact that someone is a student doesn't make them any less likely to go to a smaller/lesser known nite. If someone is in the know, then they are in the know...thats all there is to it.
