Testing the new prototype Vestax deck !! :eek:
Basically did everything on one deck !! Nicknamed the QFO because it's like a round circle but with a mixer included on the deck etc plus sample bits . . . . I dunno , all was a bit confusing !!
BUT
What I can say is that he's fucking wicked !!
Also had a DJ from Japan who's apparently a don on normal decks who started playing DnB !! Respect to the DJ for being amazing at scratching but he had no idea about mixing !! Was putting DnB tunes into the intros etc and I mean this wasn't so he could scratch etc, it was just because he was't that good at it !!
Then again I suppose most his time goes into scratching it up !!
Just glad to hear a few up tempo beats in the building, everyone went mad when DnB was dropped !!
Not too much of a mission to get there but getting back we basically missed the 1:40 bus and had to wait for the 2:40 bus back to Gloucester Green :mad: so by the time I had actually got back to Oxford and then Abingdon, was in bed at 4:30 this morning which is great because I had to wake up at 6:50 and be ready for my lift to work !!
Which is where I am now and I am so tired :o
Anyway enough of me rambling on !! It was something different to get my arse to London and do the Hip Hop / Scratch thing and had a wicked one.
Now back to DnB again :hyper: :funk:
