Ok... so i've got the 1210s/ vestax/ whatever else they throw at you in a club sorted... (well kinda! :D) but could someone enlighten me on how on earth you mix cds without clanging like mr clang from clang street, clangtown, somewhere in clangshire!

I know what you mean - some models aren't as quick as others....

Pitch bend buttons will never replace giving a rotating record [or shuttle wheel]...

Playa had a standard CD deck mixer in one and I used to have loads of fun on that !! Used to mix 2 dnb mix cd's together and end up with like 3/4 tunes in the mix.

just like anything, it takes a short while to get used to them

plus really you need some time at home as when you're out I wouldn't call that practise as much

I've only used CD decks a handful of times, I couldn't get used to them...To be honest I doubt i'll ever need one, unless i'm playing out my own tunes or mates tunes.

I'll always use decks, I'll take my own to the club if I have to...:D

I quite like them and was gutted I didn't by Playa's off him when he sold his double deck & mixer one for £100 which was a mere fraction of the original cost :[

I guess it'll just take a bit of time to get used to. methinks a purchase might be in order... anyone know costs off the top of their headz?

maybe going direct rather than through a shop to the company as well

latts bought his pmc05/7 samaruia scratch mixer for 700 rather than the nice 900 it was going for in hard to find

The latest models CDJ 800 0r 1000, I can't remember which, will set you back 800 quid or so, the 500 is about 450-500 quid.

If ever I get one I know I'll just be buying the one, as a third/fourth deck...I love Vinyl too much...
