i had to cancel all gigs last weekend and have been to the doctors, they've given me some ear drops to try and see if it's just wax against the ear drum (i hope)... i'm getting them syringed next wednesday and there is a good possibility that it's just that..
i'll be back in the zone MCing @ Source this friday and also the Bullingdon this Saturday, i'm just gonna take it easy and make sure all is good :-) I was going up to Northampton after the bully but not anymore :(
i'm getting some custom ear plugs made for me... they cost a fortune but they will be well worth it i'm sure :-)

I reckon Dillinja would have Tinitus by what I've heard of the Valve Sound System! "What Bass?" "It Aint Too Loud"
That's when you get ringing in your ears etc. I think it would drive me insane.

I bound to happen to a dj at some point or an mc it's just when?! Just thinkn sometimes how loud you have to have the headphones to hear what tune you have ready to mix in. All channelling into one ear!

Optical has a perforated ear drum I think - which makes him head and shoulders above the rest of anyone else!

ahh shit manikular, unlucky m8. i heard that its the snare/high end that gives you the ear damage. you must be goin nuts about the constant ringing, it would drive anyone mad im sure
i work outside with alot of loud machinery, and im always being called a pussy amongst other things cos i wear my ear defenders loaud. phuck them lot aint it! a dj/mc's ears are the single most important thing they own and they're well worth looking after!
get well soon dave... i know ts not my place to say, but id leave the clubs and loud situations well alone till its gone away. i dont see any reason to make what you have worse in anyway ;)

i have quite a few dude..
bear in mind the amount i would make is a guestimation based on what certain tracks are going for on ebay
as an example, i own the original of priza - fire which was auctioned recently for about £90 (although it's just been repressed - duh)
i own quite a few hundred tunes, probably running into a few thousand, my collection goes like this
50% jungle / drum&bass
20% oldskool hardcore rave
20% house / us garage / funky shit
10% hip hop / breaks / beaty odd stuff & misc

that oldskool hardcore you got sounds interesting...
here's something - have you got the 8 peice boxed set PLANET V (purple labels)?
Hard to find are selling that for £75 - yes 75 quid. Funny thing is I've got it and two copies of about 3 plates. just goes to show though that your vinyl may someday be worth a shitload so hang on to it!
as for tinnitus, one of my tutors told me that you only get one set of ears, which is obvious but think about it, it's a 'it'll never happen to me' thing but statistically people do get tinnitus through loud music (ed rush / optical) and what WOULD you do? buzzing and ringing for years - sod that...
take it easy on the eardrums peeps cos like the lottery -it could be you.
(and you dont need a ticket for tinnitus)

Ceedee did you mean an Audi A3? not S?
If you did then respec mate those cars are sweet, they're like Audi's challenger to the VW Golf but they are blatantly better - they're Audi's :) Always wanted one, if somebody gave me one I might actually learn to drive :P
