ez headz,

i know that some of ya'all produce, just wondered what was the best... manufacturers websites are ok, but a little biased and have checked the mighty
www.futuremusic.co.uk (http://www.futuremusic.co.uk) but am still not sure

i need some monitor speakers.(passive) .. what are the best for sub £200

am also looking at getting a desk of some description - are spirit desks all they're cranked up to be - (F1, SX, etc) or should i get a behringer thing - for loads cheaper... or are they all pretty much the same???

your thoughts are much appreciated

dude.... get some alesis monitor ones... they are ideal drum&bass monitors.. you are looking at about £200 for 'em...

for a desk... i've gone with spirit... although i had a mackie... and i wish i kept it.. however the spirit is over £2000 cheaper than the mackie i had... damn it was a phat desk but i really needed a holiday... and let me tell you the holiday was well worth it!

Mate,

Spirit Absolute 2 monitor speakers are something else I recon you should at least investigate as I've heard they aint too bad. they fit the budget too.

As for the mixer, you aint specified what sort of thing you're after... If you're after one of the new real nice fully featured digital beats then you have NO CHOICE but to get a yamaha 02R, mate these are like fit girls, you really feel the urge to touch them know what I'm saying!?!?!

Sounds like you're after more of a smaller little baby though, so check out the ALESIS STUDIO 24 / PHONIC MR2443 / SOUNDCRAFT FX16 or something sweet like them. They are all in the 350-500 pound range.

If you aint allready check www.digitalvillage.co.uk
safe - see ya at Geemans or the nest ftb meet.

if you wanna write dark dirty d&B always opt for an analogue desk...
