i did the dome.which was cool but was expecting to go to the queclub in brum.
But i have never been to the dome before. So at least i can tell my grandchildren that i raved in the dome one day:)
The atmosphere was good. was not as busy as i thought it would be.
had to be up front by speakers to appreciate the sound as it was well quiet!!!!!!!!!
and the only speakers were at the front in D'n'B. and the garage arena had front and rear speakers??????
They had ratpack up to the midnight hour which went down well.
mickey finn did not show as far as can work out.Shame as i was well looking forward to his set.And we had andy c for the best part of 2 hrs.
damn good night had.doubt i wil go again for a new year tho once was enough. They need more noise!!!! but must be restricted in some way. the dome is hardly sound proof!

i did the dome for the last two years! (last year and the year before) - it's an amazing event.. just to be in that place is something else.. last year the drum&bass had front and rear stacks and was rammed all night ( a good 10,000 with my estimate ) i would imagine they had about 40,000 in the entire dome.. which was nice!!

the year before was my fave though... they didn't actually use the dome at all but a huge building outside and 2 other tents.... now the reason for me really rating the first ministry at the dome (or should i say next to the dome) was becuase of the house arena... it was wicked... probably about 8,000 capacity with the best production i've seen in years.. and also i heard two of my fave house tunes being played.... tyrantanic by breeder and also das glockenspeil by schiller (humate remix)... both phucking awesome tunes.... of i forget, this is a drum&bass board! doh!

I've never been there, but at the same time people have always sang the places praises.

it's one of the most important venues with regards to the rave scene.. over a decade on and still going strong... the place is falling to bits, but i think it adds to the allure of the place... it has a certain mystic to it...

Sounds like some of you had wicked New Years Eve's. Mine was more for fun thatn music (well maybe the music!!) . I went to Bar Med of all places! Was a last minute thing but made the most of it and there was loads of people I know there! No D 'n' B unless maybe Shake Your Body was played!! I can't remember anyhow but I ended up going to a mates house for a small after party in Sunningwell! He's cool. Can scratch like a motherphucker on the decks!! Anyone know Tom Burton? Blunt Instruments? Plays funk and everyting else.
