'The Nature Of The Beast' is the album of Drumsound & Bassline Smith.
Technique Reordings are launching an album tour for this, which Digital Era will (hopefully) be bringing to Oxford in Sep/Oct time.
The Album includes:
'Get Thru This'
'Junglist'
'Tinman'
This would be a wicked night with the likes of Grooverider, Andy C, MC Foxy as well as Drumsound & Bassline Smith, taking centre stage!!
So keep your eyes peeled for info!!!

they *used* to have a similar capacity restriction. i know they are doing it up so it's worth a shot!

Thought Bassline Smith was down in June......
Also, heard Grooverider on Friday night at Fabric and must say that he played an immense set of dark chopped up shit !!
some obvious full cycle style bts plus loads of dirty stuff which killed it and gave the night a real underground feal.
I hardly recognised any of the tunes he played apart from Odysey which he seems to have a slightly different own version....

hhhmmmmm....How did you manage to book artists from Unique in Oxford???? Do you have connections we don't??? If you are looking for a venue with a reasonable door policy we amy be able to help you down at the coven, the capacity is 500. Thats a really big lineup most of the venues in oxford are too small to put a lineup like that on and not be charging an absolute extortion. How much will you be charging and when will the event actually be happening. I would be really interested to get some inside info on the night. Let me know if you can...maybe we can sort something out. Safe

Well the night will be in late sep/early oct(date still to be confirmed)!!
The finer details are still to be decided e.g: door price etc.
This may sound strange but i was really thinking that coven would be the best place for a night like this as it has the space!!
But then i thought that there is already 2 or 3 different nights going on there and i didnt want to step on any ones toes by doing it there! So then the Jam Factory came to mind as i have not seen any DnB stuff going on there for a while!!
Yeah, i got this line up as i have the most amount of connections-JOKES!! Its an album tour, i booked through them before and they just emailed all the details for this!!

Really with a line up that good you want to be promoting the event outside of Oxford ie-swindon,reading etc. That measn you will get a hell off a lot of people coming down. For me the only place is the Helena Kennedy building at brookes, it's the biggest and best venue in oxford. Only problem is that they don't book it out much. There are only 6 public dates a year all of which are booked for 04. If you need ideas or help just get in touch
