The first mixtape I ever *heard* was some Jive Bunny bollocks when I was in primary school!

The first mixtape I handed over cash for was Obsession - DJ Ratty and MC Robbie Dee [Dream Mix, 26-02-93] in a double pack with DJ Evil Eddie Richards and MC Ribbz on the other...

Changed my life GOOD AND PROPER.

the first one i BOUGHT was Grooverider from Dance Planet @ Aston Villa Leisure centre..

march 1992 i think.

Still rinse it now - although now hearing that some of the mixes are shoddy, it sounds like it was an electric night, wicked selection with ype's scratching and Joe Peng interacting with the whols shizzle. Incredible!

is it a compilation? shit. i've lost that tape and about 2copies of it anyway :mad:

second one isnt mixed i know that. got it on cd off ebay having lost the tape. Thou probably gone walkabout than lost.

as for jivebunny only reason i say that is cos its 50sn60s and i dont relate that to dancefloors, clubs. I did love it thou!!!!!!

I dag out the First Taste the other day! Dodghy copy but I forgot how those simply produced tracks used to rock our house parties when I was a kid.

yea its fucking heavy.

theres an advert on ch5 (for ch5 i think) which has got some kid laughing. Its the exact same sample used on one of the tunes on one of the first fantazia cds. One of the more chilled tunes.. Nobody has a clue what im on about but i can hear the first few bars of tune in my head even now... and i know its the same laugh!

Yep - I know EXACTLY the sample! On the Orca tune on Twice As Nice innit.

I've heard that sample on TV shows, other DnB tunes including Future Loop Foundation [Kamaflage 'Case Sensitive' :)]

It always stands out when you've heard it in a tune nuff times.

It must be on some sample CD that gets cained by production and media companies..

Innit, I payed top dollar for a dark ray keith CD only last year.

But its gone for a walk. can't find it anywhere.
