Anyone like broken beat?

I hear a lot of the producers come from dnb (seiji, domu etc)

It quite hard to come by outside london

Yes mate - I'm into stuff like New Sector Movements, Jazzanova, Bugz in the Attic, Da Lata, 4 Hero, Truby Trio etc.

Think most of it hails from West London, although there is a lot of good stuff coming from Germany too.

yea if you check out www.brokenbeatradio.com theres loads of sets on there.

Also, check out Benji B on 1xtra on Thursdays at 12.00 till 02.00. Its not just broken beat that he plays, but a lot of it is. Hes probably my favourite DJ actually. Im warming up for him on the 31st this month in Bristol in fact! might bring my minidsic with me and catch his set and mine somehow. ill try and get it on mp3 if i do.

for those of us who cannot get audio, can you describe broken beat? heard lots about it but not sure if ive even heard?!?:o

its really hard to describe. Its like a natural progression of black origined styles such as dancehall, garage, jazz. Its kinda 2 steppy in a way. But dont let that put you off, its nothing like garage!

I recommend checking out "we got the bug" by Bugz in the Attic which is a heavyweight remix album about to come out.
