Compound was looking good last night. Shame I had to leave at about 12:30, things were really started to kick off with Coco's set (am I correct with saying Coco because I heard people saying DJ Gunna?!) His mixing was my sort of style and was simply hammering in so many tunes :wacko:

Very glad to see the Bass Invaders representing. Met everyone which was cool. Been a long time since I've seen Phil Blunt so was happy to catch up a little. Gutted too about coming over at the week end with Shuffla as for pre arranged things, Pic Un Mix may be coming over with Shuffla anyway which is all good. Bass Invaders vs. Method Crew

Got to get to work now but thought I'd compliment the night and look forward to the next one !

ps. I was the one in the white hoody. Wasn't really dancing that much through being tired and half way through, found the little pool machine where you can win money so was on there for quite a while ! !

Unfortunately Dope Ammo front man Coco, was gonna be reprazintin', but had a flight to get next morning...So Gunna stepped in, wicked set from him!

This time, I don't think there was many problems with the bouncers...so I hope peeps didn't have any hassle!

Good to meet you and the Bass Invaders at last ! Only heard a bit of your set but from what I heard, all was good. Whenever you play out, you always think you could have played better I think ! ! You notice small things that nobody would ever notice ! :D

half an hour wasnt enough time for me to relax into the mix and get heavy... the other side of the dj booth adds a certain pressure to make sure you dont phuck up

i like spending ages in the mix!!

this weekend will be all about the skillz... and we gotta get some Method + Bass Invaders recorded!

I'm not sure really.

I imagine it would of helped a bit but the main problem I can see that all the entrants will have is that the tunes aren't loud enough to get into the mixing like you would if it was say, 12 o'clock and the place was ram ! When tunes are quiet at any time, you just mix casually but if you can really feel the tunes you're playing then that's when your performance picks up !

Half an hour's a bit awkward too but still. You're playing out !

Spending ages in the mix is cool ! Bit nerve racking when under pressure because if it goes out a bit, unlike at home you'd just put it back in line, when nerves are setting in it can get a bit :wacko: even on the most basic of tunes. I haven't got loads of experience at all myself but I've done a few things and I can see where your coming from.

Still gutted about missing the Method & Bass Invaders sets. Parslow / PIc Un Mix will certainly do the business anyway so just have a wicked one and bust it up.
