Essence of Chi hits OXFORD! @ Kinetic, The Coven...Sat Nov 6th 2004!

[Essence of Chi]

Essence of Chi are proud to announce the second of our tour nights this autumn/winter which will take place at Oxford'sThe Coven in conjunction with Kinetic!
The line up consists of EOC residents Kane, Artificial Intelligence (90 minute set) and DJ T1, alongside Oxford regular and one of EOC's favourite guests this year DJ Madcap. Holding the mic on the nite will be our badboy trio LowQui, Ken Mac and the MC Five Alive!
This is gonna be a session to remember ..believe..so whether ur in Oxford or London get urselves down there for Perfect Beatz..Perfect Balance...Kinetic-stylee!

EOC will be running a bus from London-Oxford on the nite..so if u wanna jump on board please email me keira@essenceofchi.co.uk or call 07817 706484 for further info. I need to be sure of numbers so we can make sure we have the right size!
Dont forget u can also get to and from Oxford ALL NIGHT on the Oxford Tube 24hour coach service from Victoria station.

The main room is an Essence of Chi tour night, hosted by Kinetic at the Coven II...

so you have Essence of Chi residents:
DJ Kane, DJ T1 & MC LowQui plus firm favourites with the EOC Crowd:
AI, Madcap, Five Alive and Ken Mac

...(sorry Mikee, but you havnt played for us yet so we couldnt give you a slot this time)

Music Policy is quality drum n bass...which covers liquid, choppage, jump up and dark...whatever as long as its good dnb music!

DO NOT expect to hear the same beat and bassline all night..cos its guaranteed to switch up, change and flow!

the hip hop room has been arranged by Kinetic

Twas really good.

Venue wasn't busy enough for it to be a great night IMO.

Met alot of cool peeps.

Madcap was heavy again, as were AI.

Lowqui smacked it. Did some heavy freestyling at the end ;)

Not about paying the ridiculous price for the taxi home. I'm still pissed off about that now.

Well, we came down and represented hard! Only so many people we can bring up from London u know..shame the locals weren't out in full force but thats the way it goes sometimes!

EOC would like to big up everyone who attended, Jan and the Kinetic crew for havin us down, the bar manager for all the drinks :) , and of course the whole of the EOC family and friends who came all the way to Oxford for the nite! Nuff love 2 the artists : T1, Madcap, A.I, Kane, Ken Mac, Five Alive and LowQui ... heavy sets from all if I may say so myself!

erm..we were never given any demos from the locals and an EOC tour night means EOC artists unfortunately. I will reiterate that the second room was booked by Kinetic and then got pulled due to the refurbishments goin on etc

TBH though, the main reason there was a poor turnout was because it was the night after Bukem.

Most people can't afford to do both.

the re-furb if you call it that, was alright.......

definetly better with the wall knocked down, but i thought they were gonna carry the sound through!! more speakers in the bar ect...

anyway good night, fuck all poeple there but i can understand that with amount of promotion going on.......
