it did make me laugh to hear her described as a 'newcomer' at the mobos recently though, she's been about for time! Just shows how ignorant the commercial mainstream really is!

Nah, why lose respect for someone who goes on TOTP? If you think the song's shit then fair enough, but I reckon it's alright. Admittedly I haven't had repeated listens yet but it's definitely better than 1980. That was gay.

I guess it's inevitable when an act makes the transition to the mainstream for them to appear on those sort of shows. Fair enuff performing [miming] your tune on TV, but when an artist mugs around on a kid's show it grates me. Unfortunately it's these sort of appearances which alter the credibilty amongst people like myself who originally rated them.
